Does AD abuse low pop point boost on PC like they do on Console?

I have been stuck in a Cyrodiil delve a few times over the years. I finally learned to not go into one during MYM because of having to queue to get back to Cyrodiil.

I entered a delve in Black Water Blade years ago on a level 49 character to get a skyshard. Unfortunately my character reached level 50 inside the delve. I could not leave back into Black water blade. I logged out, back in, still stuck. I had to queue for a vet campaign to get out.

On the topic though, yes I have heard of this exploitation of the low-pop. I don't know anything else about it.

Literally had this argument on pc yesterday, it isn't an exploit or cheating if a faction gets a buff awarded by the game, you can't trigger it like that, it takes into account how many people are in the campaign. You can't make a faction have low pop bonus lol I think people think far too much about cheaters spies and exploits instead of actually playing the game 😬

Two serious problems with this entire thread:-

    1. “AD does X” like the game isn’t made up of lots of individual players. As a group leader, I can tell you it’s hard enough to get people to follow the damn crown and attack clear objectives. Nonsense.

    2. An incredible amount of “someone said” and “I think” and “I heard that’s what happens”. Absolutely no actual knowledge involved. Nonsense.

    Seriously flawed.

As was stated earlier in this thread the pop is calculated by the number of players logging into cyrodiil. So going to a delve would actually make it appear that the population is higher not lower.

"These are applied when an alliance has a consistently low population of players entering that campaign"

The method used definitely returns some unusual results but it is not being manipulated by players of any faction.

Honest question? Because on console AD especially will take a big raid group into delves before evaluation to get the low pop points during primetime.

It's disgusting but they are just abusing the mechanic that ZOS clearly missed.

OH YELL YES!! It's disgusting to see it happen on PC NA-server, Gray Host. They're pop locked and then a bunch log out to trigger the score bonus and log back in. I've seen it happen in real-time and ZOS needs to act decisively on this issue. It's disgusting gameplay especially at the end of the campaign and scores are tight.

This is the definition of cheating: "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage"

So from what I'm understanding is that people entering Cyrodiil is not like how you enter a movie theater where the person working has a clicker and they click the people coming into the movie and then before the movie starts the manager says, "We sold 20 tickets, how many clicks did you get?"

And the guy says, "Uhh, we got 45 clicks."

Instead it's people going into the theater and sleeping there overnight and in the morning it looks like 20 tickets were sold but now there's last night's crowd and this morning's crowd in the same room watching the same movie?

Abuse? AD is way behind every time I check, even though most of my characters are AD.

Honestly don't even know how any campaign can be this organized. I've played alliance locked and the other ones and it seems like the entire time everyone is unorganized and cursing at how badly they need people at *insert fort* because *insert guild* is at the ifd 20%

I play AD on console and whilst some players will go into a delve to get a buff most don't. Because you have to queue to get back out of the delve and can get stuck in there its just not worth it in prime time in a pop locked campaign.

It's easy to shout exploiters but the amount of coordination this would take is enormous. Plus you would need to make sure that no new players entered into the campaign at the evaluation time.

Oh, and if you are that convinced that that is what they are doing why don't you do the same? Your alliance players could do the exact same alleged action, what's stopping you?

How come it's always pointing the finger at one alliance like the other two dont do it.

I don't think people understand its a 3- way 'war' and no one turns on the other it's just how it's played 😂

No, not one shred of evidence.
I posted earlier in this thread how it works from a reliable source and the time slice samples would prevent this providing it isn't bugged.
You would have to be in the delve for multiple samples.

PCNA GH, all 3 factions pop locked for hours last night... and for some reason AD got a low pop bonus 3 times according to the score screen. Didn't notice any shenanigans though, we were in rather large fights with them most of the night. Oddly, EP dropped to 2 bars later in the evening and received no bonus.

It depends on activity as well as population. If 3 bars at home gate in zone chat will still get it :p

Actually the delves exist outside of Cyrodiil. You literally have to queue back in when exiting a delve in Cyro, you just don't get to see the queue. Spoken by someone who was stupid and has gotten himself trapped in Cyro delves many times while trying to get a AP buff during primetime. Which BTW is an entire issue of it's own, I have been trapped for up to 45 minutes on occassion, with literally no way to get out. Even /stuck only takes you to the delves exit and not outside the delve.

Not my experience. I have been in a delve for probably over an hour in prime time when there are three bars and a long queue and I have never had an issue getting right back into Cyro.

Yes, you are very lucky. We actually went in as a group one time and half our group was stuck for 15+ minutes, one member ended up logging out after 30 minutes in near tears because of her being stuck. It definitely happens.

I actually did get stuck last night, but this time in Cheesemongers (only time I have tried it in there). The ten times (or so) that I have gone into a delve when pop-locked, I have been able to exit without issue. If I am not mistaken, when in Cheesemongers, I was not able to view the Cyro map, but I was able to when in a delve, which just might mean that the former isn't technically in Cyro while delves (or at least some of them) are.
