Why not just add titles for achievements with multiple characters?

Ie. Godslayer all the way up to Ultimate Godslayer if you do an achievement with 18 characters?

I don't really care either way with account wide achievements, but if people argue against them because of the lack of incentive to complete them on multiple characters... Give them back the title incentive... Just add a special prefix indicating how many different characters they have done the achievement on.

Lucky Ghost recommended that gaining an achieve a 2nd or more timess should result in '2X Godslayer', for example, (and I guess only once on a character that didn't get it directly).

I understand that if one makes Emperor on any character many players want to wear that on all their other char's, but I'm not so hot on that idea.

I have master angler on my main, and see no point in wearing the title on 17 more toons.

But thats just my (probably unpopular) opinion.

The problem is with the change you will not be able to earn it on multiple characters. Good chance you won't be able to earn a complete achievement on one character as all contribute to the effort. That breaks a popular part of the game for many people.

I guess I'm not following your logic... Again, you earn the achievement..ie. Godslayer on a character.. You get the title Godslayer.... You earn it on a second you get an added prefix..ie.... Master Godslayer... You earn it on a third character you get a different prefix...ie. supreme Godslayer ... Which basically gives the only thing people are losing to the achievement back to them...a unique title.... And it actually gives even more incentive because something like ie...ultimate Godslayer if you get the accomplishment on 18 characters would be a huge feat

On my main character I have been from time to time working to get the Monster Trophy achievements. For the Nature Collector all I need is the Knotted Heart. I have killed many Lurchers on my main trying to get that Knotted Heart. Two other characters have just by blind idiot luck landed the Knotted Heart. As the game is now those Knotted Hearts do not count towards my main getting the achievement. With the change those Knotted hearts will give my account the achievement meaning none of my characters earned it. My main no longer has the opportunity to gain the achievement. She gets credit for the achievement but she didn't earn it. None of my characters did.

With the change as it is being presented now Once you get Godslayer on one they all have it. None of the others can earn the achievement. Sure they can finish all the requirements but it won't matter. Your suggestion is a step in the right direction but that would mean being able to track individual characters achievements. As I understand things the proposed change simply doesn't allow that.
I don't mind others having all achievements account wide. I want the option to toggle account achievements off so that any achievement only advances on the character that finished that particular part of the achievement. I don't want a trophy fish from Rivenspire to count on one of my characters that has never been to Rivenspire. I want all my characters (or as many as I choose) to earn each achievement on their own.

Because with the new account wide achievements on the test server, you can only earn an achievement once on your account, then you're locked out from ever earning it again.

Want to do a quest you completed on another character? Sorry, quest giver will tell you you already did it. Want more than one Solitude music box? Out of luck, the bard won't give you the quest a second time.

Is it just me, or could most of these concerns be resolved by simply adding a new tab for account-wide achievements while leaving the current tab for character-based achievements as it is?

With regards to titles, I wouldn't personally use a title on a character I didn't earn with them. But it's personal taste - some titles like 'Witch' are just for RP. The issue seems to be with titles like Godslayer - but honestly who cares, so long as the player has a way of tracking their personal achievements. As an onlooker, you can still see that character and know that it belongs to either a very skilled or very rich player. I personally wouldn't use a title like that on a character I didn't earn it with, anyway.
