I know, I know. Magdk doesn’t need any help lol, I just don’t know what to wear in no cp. right now my magdk is in swift body, mighty chudan heavy, and shalks jewelry n weapons. Flame staff and resto staff.

It’s not bad. Charged flame staff… healing is stupid OP. I’ve coagged myself for 10k and I’m not using fragmented shield, and losing out on 12% by not running hardened armor.

Anyway surviving isn’t the problem. Lack of damage is? -le sigh- and mobility… which doesn’t help the damage situation. I’ll use corrosive armor and then just… not be able to get anyone lol.

The good news is I have bar space to play with. Lot of flex spots. So… do you amazing magdks I be seein… do you use the ardent flame gap closer perhaps? Use wings? Psijic acceleration?

Please fix me. I’m a big slow blob. I feel like wtf am I using a flame staff when I only have melee skills for one thing.

Chains isn't bad, I used to use it back during no proc. It depends on what you're using it for tbh. But I don't use it now, I just use shattering rocks for my stun. Wings also depend on what you need it for. I prefer using Race but you could also use protective plate.

Personally, I play my mag dk as dual wield front bar and back bar inferno staff so I can use engulfing and elemental susceptibility at the same time, but that's personal preference.

Problem might be the lack of damage due to usage of tanky gear tbh. Not telling you to change up gear but, that could be contributing, cause corrosive isn't an insta-kill ability. Only gives direct damage penetration, but if you don't have the innate damage to back it up, you probably won't kill with it.

Maybe considering dropping 1 of the chudan pieces and do 1 chudan 1 malacath instead and just use volatile armor and see how that goes. I'm not the greatest mag DK, but I wear no proc gear open world with malacath and have no trouble killing at all.

I’ve got a little over 4K spell damage… how much do you think I should have? And uh… what sets are you wearing in this clip if you don’t mind sharing?

I could do duel wield it seems like the best way to make use of the charged idea… besides proccing for sustain might as well get some disease and shock effects right?

I see you using uh… wuzzut called, inhale? I’ve been really liking that skill too. On a scale of 1 to 10 how dumb is the idea of using a lightning staff on a magdk?

Sets I'm using are vampire's cloak, innate axiom, 1 piece pirate skeleton, 1 malacath. All sets should work fine in no cp, as none are procs anyways.

If you can hit 5400 spell damage, I think that's a good sweet spot. My mag DK has like 6.5k pen with 5.6k spell damage(technically 6k because innate axiom doesnt add damage to spell damage, only adds to your abilities tool tips). and my penetration goes up to 12k.5k ish because I use elemental susceptibility. Disease or shock glyphs aren't bad glyphs to run, though I don't use it on this setup because I'm using elemental susceptibility (susceptibility auto procs burning, concussed, and chilled) and I get the effect off shock glyphs with susceptibility for free, and you can basically spam susceptibility as well. Disease might be good. Though I prefer berserker and crushing enchants on my weapons

Also lightning staff isn't bad at all, it's totally valid, I used to use lightning staff, it's really good if you use a primarily aoe setup. If not maybe, 5, it would average in that case, maybe buffing inhale(if you use it), ferocious leap, and the first tick from you engulfing flames.

People are building super tanks in no proc Cyrodiil, I think the best damage approach is penetration. Heartland conqueror, spinners (front barred), markyn ring of majesty, 1 piece magma incarnate (or other 1 piece of your choice), and whatever 2 piece on resto back bar (potato, crit riposte, etc) would be a decent setup I think. I would use a 2h sharpened maul and powered resto, and run at least 2 swift jewelry.

I think it would be interesting to run blessing of protection to also get minor resolve paired with the extra resists from markyn, that would be almost 6k on top of what you get from armor. I think coagulating is still a little more beneficial than blessing though but just throwing ideas out.

Armor weights, maybe 2-1-4 if you have undaunted, or 3H-4L if not. The 4 light again helps stack more penetration.

    Just some thoughts.
