    Templar
From what I heard Templar is just getting one of their skills improved and there is very little change to other classes. Templar is already OP and DK too so doubt much is changing any time soon. Once everyone has spent time and money/crowns on making a Templar ZOS will make another class best so everyone will have to go spend time and money to switch to that class if they want to be competitive. It's the way this game works and always has.

It will continue to be DK or Templar. Based on the current combat meta and the adjustments, they have the most and easiest access to self healing/cross healing, respectively, and "fire and forget" technology.

It's called never having balance. I've seen this in EVERY MMO I have played. Balance cannot truly exist in MMO because the devs try to make classes unique. Some classes are better at longer fights because of DoTs and decent resource management. Others are better at quickly bursting down targets. Some are better as tanks, others as healers, etc, etc, etc...

This game is no different than all the other MMO I have played. The devs try to FIX stuff but usually they make the class they fix to powerful. I just picked the classes I like best for the roles I plan to play the most.

It won't change much propably. The same classes will use the same skills, I only see one possible exception, that would be Stamsorc. With all skills scaling of the higher Stat, you can maybe get a delayed Burst on Stamsorc with Haunting Curse aside that, I don't see much changing.
DKs will continue to have even better healing, because it was so weak... And StaminaTemplars will be able to spam the Magicka Jabs for healing yay.

Having unique classes is the balance itself though, right? Each class playing with very noticeably different abilities and playstyles would make them better or worse based on each encounter. It balances out in that manner and is a lot of fun.

ESO is not like that. Classes play similarly, use similar copy/paste abilities, many use the same rotation with the primary difference being animations..... so much has been homogenized too. When so much is similar, even small changes to class abilities are enough to tip the scale in one direction or another. Plus it’s kinda boring seeing so many abilities with identical tooltips.

Yeah class balance would be fine if say 1 had better heals and the other had better sustain or offense for example. That's not how it is now. Magplar and maybe magdk are better at just about everything and it shows in the fights. They cream everyone and even whole teams of people.

I didn't see very many significant class changes in the patch notes. I'm still getting my head around the hybridization stuff but Id guess that will affect everyone largely equally.

On that basis, I'd say templars will continue to be firmly on top and the go to class for the meta gamers. I'm honestly a little surprised they didn't tone them down.

Then, some way down the ladder, you'll have nightblades, dks and sorcs roughly equal, though obv it depends on what type of scenario you've got. Wardens are starting to feel like they got a bit over nerfed but there's no sign of them getting any love.

I suspect the bigger question is how hybridization will the overall balance between offense and defense. if you could say, run both rapids and vigor on the same toon, that's startingto look like a lot of overlapping healing.

Templar is getting that unblockable stun. They're gonna reek havok with that, especially considering the range on it.
