Altmer (Highelf)

I love Elves and they are my go to race in every game I've ever played that has them. But one thing I just cannot relate to are furries. (With the exception of the Worgen male I played in WoW.)

Khajiit

I've mained Altmer, Breton, Dunmer, Nord and Orc as well, but the Khajiit just have so much personality, it's hard to not instantly love them.

Altmer (Highelf)

Before ESO it would have been a Nord. I played Nords in all the previous ES games, and my first character is a Nord. I think I base my top preference mostly on the look of my character tbh. Character creation options for Altmer are the best.

I have no beast characters. I've played beast races in other games, I spent hundreds of hours playing as a Charr, for example. But the options here give me the icks. I made a few and after a couple minutes of running around I delete them. I think cause it's very obviously just an animal head + tail on a human body. Doesn't feel like a unique species. It's just playing as a human with a animal head. Weird, and for me at least, not in a good way.

Khajiit

Khajiit, followed by Altmer, followed by Argonian, followed by Dunmer. If a game offers a non-human for the player, I will ALWAYS choose a non-human.

Least favourites are Bosmer and Nords.

I can't in good conscience vote, for there are two races I love equally.

As many in this thread have already mentioned, I love the Dunmer for their diversity, nuance and complexity. I can have several Dunmer alts and RP them all completely differently, with every single wildly different personality being completely lore-compliant. I do feel they are the most altogether well-developed race in the game, and the most reflective of the diverse personalities in our own world.

That said... I also really, really love Nords. While they do heavily suffer from the "almost every single member of this race seems to have the exact same personality" syndrome, it just happens to be a personality that I personally adore. They remind me of the standard Dwarf personality across most fantasy settings (not to be confused with our Dwarves, which are... Elves... for some reason), and that's always been my de facto favorite across multiple decades and mediums.

Argonian

Argonian.....hands down. I have an Argonian of every class; just something about them.

Really like Orc too but that is probably due to another game I played before.
