PTS download resets itself at random intervals

I'm trying to download the PTS to try out Craglorn before it's released, and I'm getting strange downloading bugs.

1. The download is normal, but at random intervals the download will completely reset to 0% and start the base 23gb download again. This happens without any sort of input on my side. No pauses or resumes happening.

2. The download reaches the random interval point, but instead of resetting to 0% the download speed halts at 0.

3. If I try to pause and resume the download when the speed stops at 0, it reverts itself roughly 10% every time and redownloads that portion. Then if I allow it to continue downloading, it barely passes the previous % and one of the two errors occur again.

I have tried to copy the entire NA folder to the PTS, thinking that it would simply patch over the existing NA contents. But then another error occurs about running a scanner. The scanner returns negative and the application to repair does not work either (which is what I was hoping would work).

Any help on this?

Update: The launcher was able to fully download the base 23gb. But once it completes it gets an error "HTTP request failed", stops downloading, and resets to 0%, or 25% with 25gb remaining. Both cases it continues to redownload automatically.

Update 2: PTS download does not continuously reset itself anymore. However, it checks the files for the base 23gb, once are files are checked and it is about to start downloading patch content past that it gets the "content write failed" error. At least I don't have to keep redownloading 23gb to keep trying now.

Does it reset while it's downloading/installing or perhaps when you pause it and swap back to the normal server to play for a while?

When I was installing the EU version, it would delete the download every time I swapped between versions of the game. The way I got around it was to rename the "install directory" every time I wanted to swap servers and then copy it back when I wanted to continue installing.

In either case, I'd try backing up the files in the "Elder Scrolls Online PTS\depot" folder every so often. That way, if the files get deleted or the install resets, you can try copying the files back and see if that allows you to continue on without having to completely start over.

I have tried to let it install without logging in to the NA client of the game. Same problem persists. Even if the download completes the base 23gb, the HTTP request failed error is something I can't get around

I'm having a similar problem in that files 1-11 are complete 12 is the right size but is flagged as incomplete 13,14,15 have never even downloaded. It gives a content write error at 2144.16 mb and (which I assume is the size of 13,14,15) starts the download again only to do the exact same thing. I've burned through my monthly bandwidth trying to get this done. I don't know why the launcher can't look for files its already downloaded and has sitting in the folder. At 25gig its a time and bandwidth investment.

    Fatcat,

Something I am trying right now is installing it in an entirely different folder for me it was C:\esopts and it made a C:\elder scrolls online pts folder. What is odd is the files that are in the depot were all there and it started downloading the patch 5 gig ...Now if you read my above post thats not anything like I had before. I'll update when its done with the patch if it works.

It does add a second launcher and you can't run live launcher and pts launcher at the same time. Thats not a problem for me but it might be for some.

update: finished installing patch fine and came up with the play option. I pressed play and it crashed with fatal error 12. I pressed repair and its downloading the WHOLE thing again. I'll update once its done.

So the transfer of depot folder to a new installation path bypassed the error?

No! Now at 2144.16 instead of write content error and a redownload of the whole thing. Now I get http request failed. So I've gotten nowhere. Traded errors.

update its back to write content error.......UNCLE
