Poll: how would you feel about an optional voice for the player character?
I think voicing the quests offers a great refinement to the game and increases immersion.
Considering the cost to go back and voice everything for at least two voices per playable race and it clearly goes against the design Zenimax employed where we create the voice for our characters, I am opposed to the suggestion. I think it works great where we essentially create the voice for our characters in our heads.
We already have a voice in Battlegrounds and we as players never hear our own characters, only other people's voices. This is how it should be, although I'd like the Battleground callouts to be the voice samples in character creation.
I'd also like to add, it isn't automatically the voice pack YOU chose that your character uses in Battlegrounds. ZOS seems to have just used about one voice per gender per race, at least as far as my two femme Bosmer characters are concerned. I picked two different voice packs for my two Bosmer, but when I hear them shouting over my partner's speakers as we're doing Battlegrounds together, they both use the same voice--and it's not the voice pack I picked for either of them in character creation.

Getting lost in TESO Tamriel and beyond since Beta 2013!
Alliance agnostic: all factions should chill the fetch out and party together.
Mocking the false gender binary since the 1970s.
If you ever wonder why certain official fandom spaces are so often toxic and awful, remember: corruption starts from the top. ^^v
It's not that i wouldn't WANT player voices, it's just that i don't trust Zos to not monetize that, overprice it, use cheap voice actors, and not include a whole lot of options.
Far more important would be screen reading support for the options rather than the final choice voice. Right now the game accessibility for those with visual problems reading text or dyslexia are totally inadequate.
