What do you REALLY Want to Come in a Future ESO Update?

    1H and nothing. Dueling skill tree.

    1H and magicka. Gish skill tree.

    The advantages there is that it's all animation and effects, no weapon assets have to be made for the 100+ styles out there.

    But if that were possible:

    Polearm weapon and skill tree

    Crossbow Weapon and skill tree.

    Exotic combat pets. Especially if the non-combat pets worked for it. Nothing should have a material advantage (no pay to win) but they should seem different. Most of them have attack animations anyway.

    Storyline in which we are the main character. A main character is the one who makes their own decisions that drive the story forward. In ESO, that's the region's main NPC. We get to be the braindead side-kick everywhere we go. Do better.

    World and story quest difficulty levels. Even if that means different instances. At the very least have a story end boss that poses a threat, these are meant to be world-level threats in most cases. At this rate we could just tame a Raid boss and set them to defending Nirn from the pitiful malcontents that roam the edges.

    Story Quest replayability. I don't need to get the rewards again (though some of the unique levelled drops might be worth reacquiring, and if the above difficulty option is implemented they might be worth new rewards). It's absurd to me that we have to recreate a new character to re-experience that content. We have events to encourage us to seek out world bosses, complete replayable region activities, dive into PVP, into dungeons, and there's fertile ground for events that send us to replay great story moments for new rewards, especially if the difficulty is increased and/or we have to take them on with friends. Seriously, Zenimax is massively underutilising this content, and it already exists. You're kicking your own ass, guys!

    I would like it if you could set the entrances of houses you do not own to other players on your friends/Guild lists who do own them, In detailed terms say you do not own Lakemire Xanmeer Manor, now normally when you travel to it you would go into an empty preview version, so instead if you set it to a another player who does own it when you travel there it would take you to their version of that house instead of the empty preview version.

    Imagine actually being able to walk to your guild's guildhall and being able to enter it from the front door as opposed to always having to teleport to it.

    A world auction house, so I do not have to lose hours of playing doing sales management. Right now, I got fed up with having to spend so much time doing sales management instead of playing, that I am taking a break from the game. We need to have a trading hub for everyone, so people can trade easily without recurring to trade guilds, or running around all the world for hours to find that missing rare piece.

    Also, since there will be a world auction house, all the crown store items may be sold there after a time they have been bought. So if I buy a crown crate on Monday, I will have to keep it let's say until Wednesday before selling it to the auction house. it will make crown sellers obsolete.

    I understand that this will make a lot of trade guilds obsolete. But the benefits are much more:
    1. A good guild is not just a trade guild; it also does a lot more things like group content.
    2. The amount of guilds will be less, as there will not be a need for a guild to have multiples (sales up to x 1, sales up to y 2, sales up to z 3) and so on and so forth, making the management of guilds by GMs much easier.
    3. Players will be able to spend the time that we are doing sales management ACTUALLY playing and doing proper RPG stuff in game!
    4. GMs and guild moderators will not have to spend time and the guild money on traders any more, but can use them for their guild members, helping new players, or helping their raiding team with crafted items or buying world items for them.
    5. Console players are the ones hit hardest with the current trading system as they do not have the resources that a PC player has. It will help console players trade without spending hours upon hours trying to find an item.

    I trust that the developers will make changes that are viable.

    I for one look forward to the restructuring of the underlying code so the entirety of the game improves, to me this is the the only improvement that will benefit all customers.

    Spellcrafting announced 8 years ago and still it's not implemented, such a letdown...

    So much new content was shown during this 2014 presentation, more than we got in the last 3 years. That's how new chapter's presentation should look like.

    As for the poll...I want not just Spellcrafting. I want NEW both PvP and PvE content.

    PvP:
    - BG Siege mode, smth similar to For Honor will do
    - new BG maps

    PvP Targeting QoL:
    it's hard to target ppl as Ranged class when your opponents is surrounded by swarm of sorc pets, bears, engine guardians. It's like your opponent barely surviving with 5% hp left but you can't keep pressure because of all of this mess, it's annoying.
    Maybe pets should be targetable with an additional hotkey.


    PvE:
    - endless dungeon(randomly generated levels), I see it as solo, but hold nothing against group. Rewards: not just weps, useful, really profitable rewards the further you go, do them as much as you want. Leaderboards ofc.
    - I thought about content like 'develop your own business', legal or illegal, skooma or hamburger, it's up to you. Develop business relationships\trading with NPCs, Cities, Countries, expand your network across Tamriel.
    - Solo dungeons.
    - Harder and better story content. Better Boss fights. Dagon fight was hilarious and dumb. He even could just sit upon our tower with his giant ass and we, Great Heroes of all spaces and times, are done for, gg.
    - Better RPG aspect of this game. Like choices and consequences, not just 1-2 dialog options.

    Visual updates:
    - VFX
    - Character models
    - Better world lighting, character faces looks horrible on the light. Especially Dunmer.
    - Hide Shoulder and Front\Back\Hip flaps, belts, gloves.

    I put QoL.. but, I'd also like to see some new classes with new types of spells etc. I'd say a new race too, but I don't know enough about the world, tbh, to know if there are any that could be realistically added.

    A dungeon where we have to sacrifice a player with an altar a soul gem and a dagger. This would be done as we need their soul to unlock the last boss. Thus the last boss is a three person fight. The volunteer/victim does not lose out of the boss loot.

    It's a small thing (and it honestly wouldn't take much work) but I wish they'd get rid of "locked door" buildings in the open world and replace them with player housing.

    Not every actual building would need to be its own new housing; just a portal to a player house in that building's format (a lot of the buildings, especially in the base game, are like one of only a few floorplans per racial style and exist as player housing already). It'd be cool to have the option to set housing to publicly displayable once you reach a percentage of the furnishing limit; and then to upvote or downvote housing it ports you to, to rank which houses get seen most often, or something. Or just have it be totally random I dunno.

    But it would add a lot of depth to the world if "locked doors" and basically set prop buildings were suddenly explorable using the player housing that already exists.

    One thing I really want to see coming in an update is a minimap on PS5. Well, unless I can earn 1 gold per step I take into the wrong way I need to go to.

    Other thing I'd love to see is companion interaction from the menu, so you can jump when needed instead of talking to your companion. While I'm at it, let them carry their own gear to keep our own banks and bags for other stuff and so you can simply change their gear without switching characters or run to banks/coffers.

    A barber in game (will never happen), more mounts that we can earn in game like the fancy crown crate ones (will never happen), for the houses and mounts in the crown store to not cost so much and for the crown crates to go away or at least have better drop rates.... I get it. They need to make money but yea..... I have no hopes that any of this will happen. Would be a miracle.🙄 I ask for these things because I truly love this game. I don't mean to complain. I just wish they cared for their customers. And not just wanted all of our money.... Also a new race and class would have been great for the new chapter.😥

    New weapon lines: one hand and magic/rune (magicka); tome, orb, or wand (magicka); one handed (stamina); and spear/polearm (stamina). Motif styles will be an issue for some of these.

    New classes: monk and bard.

    Increased overland difficulty, at least in new zones. Just a slight increase would make a large difference. The original craglorn failed but the one Tamriel difficulty is too low in overland. Content still needs to be accessible to new players but it shouldn’t put vets to sleep.

    Better rewards - lots of complaints lately about the lack of incentives for high end pve and pvp. Give people stuff to enjoy earning. Incentivize repeating content. Mounts are a common request.

    Reinvestment in old systems: better thieving, assassination, justice. These have been abandoned for years. Add new content.

    2 player pve content.

    PvP arenas - 2v2, 4v4, battle royals, siege

    For balance reasons I don’t think spellcrafting is ever happening and I don’t particularly want it.

    Honestly I mostly just want the year-long adventure style of content to end. I don't think it helps tell a good story like they think it does. Kinda miss the more long-form stuff. The Daedric triad storyline started at the tail end of Orsinium and went all the way through to Summerset and it really benefitted from it.

    A consistent timeline would be nice too, they started to do this with Orsinium but dropped it for Morrowind as I recall. Trapping us in 2E582 forever.

    If we're just talking a 'feature' then uh... I dunno. I'd like to stop being a Dragon Knight on my main since I kinda hate the class now. Would also love to maybe get a guild DLC instead of four dungeons one year perhaps? This game has enough dungeons, experiment with your DLC a little bit please!

    I want a spell crafting that is about making magic scrolls. This way, it would give a new alternative to potion chugging. I also think that giving the ability to make new personalized skills seems too hard to balance and could ruin the game.

    I want current class skill lines to get a new spell. A new skill line could work too, but i don't like the idea of classes having skill lines that are too similar.

    For weapon skill lines, i want polearms for stamina and illusion, conjuration and alteration staves for magicka.

    Certain things in this zone should flag you for open world pvp with a chance to drop the times you find there when you die.

    Never ever. PVP should remain restricted to PVP only zones, and NO force flagging ever in PVE zones.

    Truly random and truly rare spawn bosses should either randomly spawn or be triggered by group-oriented quest steps in the zone.

    Basically this game needs a sandbox for veteran players. One that can be expanded upon.

    Melee Magicka option.

    Class: Anything that is totally brand new that does not do what current classes do. No old classes from previous games. No Battlemage, Bard or Monk. Something new and original to ESO.
    Tired of the nostalgia drum that people keep hitting these days. It’s already infected the film industry ergo a bazillion remakes and sequels. I don’t want the same thing to happen to the game industry.

    Some magical weapon other than staves, such as a conjuration skill line with conjured weapons (seen in Blackwood), so a magicka NB could use conjured daggers OR this brings me two the 2nd wish,

    weapon+rune as in a battle mage kind of class.

    Also, I hope for more ability customization, like create a dark templar, fiery sorc, blue flame dk, pet skins, etc. This could be unlocked by doing chain quests.

    I'd like a setting in chat settings to make it default on login to have the chat window closed and no notification if you want or to leave it as it is if you like. I find when questing the chat window is a bit distracting and pulls me out of the game - I'd like to just not see it at all on login - yes I can close it but once seen it's already distracted me and I can open it if I need it.

    What I really want will never happen, but I'd love to see more differences of classes. I've been playing ESO for about a few months, after playing WoW for 14 years and the one thing I noticed is the little difference in between classes.
    It's nice that every class can play about every role, but I'd rather have them not able to.
    I've got 3 characters in ESO now, CP607 so far. A magsorc, magplar and a magcro. All wearing the exact same gear and generally doing the same tricks. They can do dps, healing and tank too. To me, that's not really role dedicated.
    Maybe I'm too much of an RPG purist, but seeing dedicated role classes is much more appealing to me.
    Tanks be tanks, dps be dps and healers be healers. Now you can just create an AIO character and do all content (besides group mechanics) pretty much solo at some point.
    I have 2 more characters yet to level to 50, but actually see no need to do so, because they are not needed to get the jobs done, voiding the need of alts.

    On another note: I'd love to see a shared gold pool. All gold accumulated by all characters go into 1 shared accountwide pool, so you don't need to switch characters to either put money on the bank, switch back to the character needing it, withdraw the gold and travel back to where it needs to make a purchase or pay for services.
