    There was a note in (southern?) Elsweyr that very strongly suggested Darien had escaped the coloured rooms without naming him, but if Jakarn and Darien appear in the same chapter my loyalties will be so conflicted that I might have a stroke. Also, given that they are essentially the only attractive male humans in the entire game, the prospect of not seeing either of them again for years afterwards would be... Saddening.

    Which one is that? The only note I remember in SE is
    death note from a kajiit who Meridia tried transfer her light into but fried his brains with it
    . Considering Blackwood's animus easter egg it's unlikely that there was an escape. Reset to factory settings and being repurposed for the next insertion is the most likely scenario and the one Darien himself points out in his parting words book.

    For a proper Darien expac we need Gabrielle and Skordo with a chance to beat up Meridia. It won't be satisfactory otherwise.

    I love Darien. I'd rather see him again than Jakarn.

    I love they're bringing back that adorable kitty man whose name I can never remember, though. He's great. <3

I'd imagine that Gabrielle will make an appearance in High Isle. Perhaps Darien will get a name drop?
