Final Assault Quest - needed so you can get the God of Schemes L50 quest?

Good morning all
I made the idiotic mistake of abandoning the Final Assault quest - due to a combination of too much beer and my eyesight not being good enough. I have appealed to the glorious makers of the game for assistance but that may take a while. It does not seem possible to restart the quest as I was at a fairly advanced stage, namely, the Library! I cannot remember where or how the quest started. It does appear that this particular quest is bugged in a number ways anyway.
Anyway Ladies and Gentlemen does anyone know that if I completely miss out finishing the Final Assault quest will it mean me NOT being offered the God of Schemes quest when I get L50? I am looking forward to visiting the Veteran areas!

DavidtheSlayerSoul ShrivenYou can restart the quest by finding King Dynar (possibly Vanus the entrance to the Citadel near the black portal, but I go it back from Dynar) at the gate to the Endless Stair. He may not show a caret indicator icon, but talk to him, and it will restart.Edited by DavidtheSlayer on April 25, 2014 3:36PM0

mdziur✭✭I abandoned it at the same place while trying to open the library door. But I can't get the quest again. I'm right outside the citadel and talked to the king but I'm not getting the quest.0 -
TibbsSoul ShrivenI had to go INTO the Citadel to get it back. Like you the King just said "goodbye" outside. I got in through the sidewall and again through a small gap. It does take a little to find the small gap. When you do you will see the necessary characters to get the quest.
