Besides manually changing, does anyone know if there's a way to export and import your control scheme?

For PC the addon Votan's Keybinder lets you check keybind settings in order to use them accound-wide.

Would be nice though if camera and other settings would carry over. We've only been asking for this since ESO began, and for players that create a lot of alts, we basically have to have a printout of all our settings just to get new characters setup correctly.

There is or was at least, an addon that will sync all your settings between characters. I tried it and found it to be annoying, because if you tweaked some settings for that session (seems to happen a lot), the next time you zone it always reset back to the "defaults" you set and undid your tweaks.

Example being auto-add to craft bag. I turn it off sometimes so I can see what I am harvesting, or looking to get my fish to pearl ratio on filleting... but if I zone (say to help someone port somewhere) it would flip back and dump everything in my craft bag.

There's one that's just called Synced Account Settings.

You do need to identify the settings you don't want to copy over and turn those off, and then remember to set those up on each character. For example I usually want 'prevent attacking innocents' turned on, but I have 1 character where I want it off, so I have to set that to not synch, and then if I make a new character I have to remember to turn it on. But it's still much easier than having to set everything up each time, especially for things like camera settings.

I recently made a new character for the first time in a while and I'm used to spending ages in the prison cell setting everything up before I get started, but between that addon, Binder for keybinds and pChat for chat settings I had almost nothing to do. It was nice but actually a little weird to realise how quickly I was ready to start playing them.
