PC- NA unplayable lag

I am having an unplayable lag and constant disconnects today

Is anyone else having this problem. been like this since I logged on at server reset today.
Ping is jumping between 400 to 999+ rather than my usual 300 and this is in PVE both in overland and in the trial, I am trying to participate right now but I can't stay connected to the server.

Yes it happens all the time in greyhost. Try playing in Ravenwatch in prime time, there is less lag.

I've seen high latency for a few hours the past two early evenings local (around daily quest reset time). I usually get 200 - 250 but lowest it was yesterday at that time was about 300 often blowing out to 999+. It came good a few hours later and is fine now at ~200.

CAn't say if it's something local or an issue at the ZOS end.

It was kinda bad at times in my raids last night. We were joking that PvP lag was leaking into our trial. It was frustrating though.

The lag entered PVE months ago, surprised it just hit you. My guildies trials have been full of lag and disconnects for months. Welcome to the yearly promises of how they are "Working on it". They will probably have you running trials with no procs, no healing and 4 second delays between skills to figure out what the issue is, but don't worry... They are working on it.

Download a program called ping plotter. There is a free version. Then start ESO, akamai.com ping path. Akamai I think is their DDOS protection and they change their IP ever 5 min. It has been my experience that ae3.tata-atl4.aloha-egal.netarch.akamai.com is the jump before the final destination and has random high Ping and high packet loss.

Due to the high demand on the server side and fast input/output of the game this problem may never go away. Until more calculations is moved back to client side, but then Stadia and cheats/bots is an issue(my quess).

This is all just my opinion and observation.

I know a lot of the problems started when they started filtering through Akamai. However, I hardly see Microsoft paying for an outside DDoS service when they can do that in-house with Azure.

Setting a static IP fixed a lot of my lag and disconnect issues, but that was for PVP.
