Are we not going to have midyear mayhem this year?

Question may have been asked before but after scrolling through several pages I dont see one, so forgive me if it's already been asked and answered. Don't we typically have midyear the last week of January into February? Are we not having the even this year?

On PTS, the Mayhem event was after Daedric War, so they're probably shoving that to February this year.

They tested Daedric first on PTS so likely will follow. To be fair, not sure why they can't let us know the dates now.

I've also wondered why there's not a set schedule for events. I mean, it stands to reason that it's so they can change it quickly, but surely they could do that anyway with a quick heads up

They used to post the schedule, but people got ticked off when delays happened. They took the schedule as gospel truth and deviation of that truth was a lie or some other contrived thing that "Ruined their trust of the company" so they stopped posting them. Now you only get around a week in advance of an event happening.

last two years we have had two midyear mayhem event (renamed whitestrake's mayhem), one in Jan/Feb and one in Jun/Jul...

Before 2020 there was only the "midyear" one (i.e. june/july), maybe this year we'll have just one instance?

Nah, they changed the name to reflect how the event no longer happens once in the middle of the year now. If they were going to go back to the once a year model they likely wouldn't have bothered changing the name.

Starting this year, the event is named Whitestrake's Mayhem because it started to appear twice a year and the "Midyear" part didn't seem to make sense anymore.

The event should appear in February, before Update 33 (possible launch somewhere mid-March) as it was the last event tested on the PTS.

To be fair, it never made sense; even when they had it in the summer it was in Sun’s Height, not Midyear. They tried to explain it away with a new Pelinal lorebook initially, apparently they’ve given up on that.

It's interesting that when these kinds of questions are asked on the official forums that no ZOS rep ever shows up to answer them, and the mods don't answer game related questions either.

And yet... they did answer... In the Daedric Party Event thread, along with a boatload of other questions.

I am always looking forward to MYM events, but in the last few days in Cyrodiil the game performance has been exceptionally poor on PS NA Gray Host campaign.

I have put in multiple in-game tickets for getting booted during keep siege and then having to requeue for Cyrodiil after relogging. Today this happened during an emp push and due to the estimated 30 minute queue wait I just had to leave the game because by the time I got back into Cyro I would have had to leave to make dinner.

Before I got booted the game was totally unplayable, no skills were working, freezes and complete game nonresponsiveness caused my death solely to the front door NPCs at Fort Alessia when trying to run ballistas. No other player characters other than those of my faction were present. That’s pretty sad.
