Hi, has anyone actually got this? Sounds difficult to farm and can't seem to get average price for it

Given that the Chef Arquitius's Lost Thesis comes from a random node in Cyrodiil, and Cyrodiil is a terrible place to farm nodes (because they're so sparse) and people in Cyrodiil aren't likely to farm nodes there as they would likely be there to participate in the Alliance War, their rarity is not to be overstated. I've seen a couple for sale for 24 million gold. Unlike the molten torte recipe, which despite spawning where a node would be, glows bright green and can visually be differentiated, the Thesis has no visual cues. Even if someone found one they'd be too expensive to make to use or sell. If I recall correctly the craft cost of the molten war torte, a recipe I have found and known, is 212k per. That makes it basically useless. The regular war torte costs about 600g to make.

ive had chats in some of my guilds about this in the past, on PC/NA i believe there has been crafted whitegold foods sold on the market, so at least 1 person knows the recipe

this is extremely difficult to farm

the upgrade item dropped randomly from BGs, better chance if on winning team, but has a rarity about that of aetheric cipher*

the provisioning ingredient to just craft the food is aetherial dust* level rarity and only comes from harvesting mats in cyrodiil

*-due to the rarity of these i am just estimating rarity in comparison to some other equally rare items
    plays PC/NA
    handle @Necrotech_Master
    active player since april 2014

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (fully filled out with current game), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

in progress: acquiring mundus stones (currently only have the thief)

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

There are plenty of guides: https://tamrieltradesecrets.com/2020/11/08/eso-war-tortes/

The base recipe is ~2mil the 2nd is ~7mil and the ingredients, well, they are rare, very very rare. The recipes themselves, after the first are not farmed, you have to have cascading set of things to create the next recipe and so on and so on.

In PC/EU I know one person that has learned the recipe and is actively making tortes to sell. I have no idea if others might have obtained it but they just do not 'bake to trade'.

In PC/NA there are at least two players who have obtained it and in the past actively 'baked to trade', not sure if that is the case anymore.

Also 'Chef Arquitius's Lost Thesis' can only be obtained as an exceedingly rare drop from BG.

I am not nearly a good enough cake-baker to make this IRL, but I want it.

On that note, does anyone know what the closest real-world equivalent is to Frost Mirriam and Bervez Juice?

Bervez Juice is from Shadowkey, but there's no real clues there. https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Shadowkey:Consumables#Bervez_Juice

Based on the ESO graphic, it looks syrupy to me. So maybe a flavoring?

Frost Mirriam is from Skyrim, where it's dried alongside herbs like garlic.
A fun blog post talking about real life influences for Skyrim ingredients that suggests it's "as if parsley, coriander (cilantro), celery, and chervil (all of which are cooking ingredients) had a giant baby together."

    Thank you!

I guess I’ve been thinking a Bervez was some kind of fruit.

I was thinking rosemary for the Mirriam (Google tells me it pairs well with oranges) but it looks like parsley does too and so does cilantro. I might have to think on this. :)

I have learned the recipe on Playstation EU. I bought the lost Thesis from a bg-Player for 8 figures (which is really much on PS EU). Was the only known lost thesis I heared of on the server so far.

    MSG and corn syrup, respectively.
