Beginning Characters in a group?

My friend and I want to start new characters and play together. Is there a way to make sure we end up in the same beginning area? And I think there is a certain level you need to be to join a group, yes? Thank you for your help and advice! Have a great day!

I do not believe there is a limit on when you can group up, if so it is when you leave the tutorial. As for starting together, make sure you own the same version of the game and make the same choice of tutorial I would guess. But even if you do end up in different areas, just group up or friend each other and you can travel to your friend for free off the friends menu and get together that way.

If you pick the same tutorial exit you will end up in the same storyline.

For certain things like PvP if you want to play two characters together they should be from the same alliance.

The only other oddity then is that the game areas are instanced so there isn't for example one bleakrock but more than one depending upon how many people are in that zone. If you are grouped with your friend then you'll be put into the same version of that zone except at very rare times and if not porting to them usually fixes it.

I don't believe you need to be anything other than out of the tutorial in order to group. Group events like dungeons are level locked at 10.

Other thing to note is that the main storyline enforces single player in places, so you won't be able to do some of that together

But we should be able to do so many other quests together and to me that's where we want to go! :-)

To what etched mentioned above, you will most definitely want to choose the same Alliance Daggerfall, Ebonheart or Aldemeri. It may not seem relevant now, but it will come up later on most likely, even if you choose to not do PVP with any regularity. Things like the Imperial City event, Mid-Year Mayhem, etc.. that you may want to dabble in to collect event tickets or grab the rewards will require you share an Alliance..

Currently we both own the base game with Morrowind, but I hope my friend likes it and we can expand and join more players. Well, that is the goal anyway.

Yes, major thing is to pick the same Alliance and starter area--if you're wanting to play a race from a different Alliance, you may want to get the "Any Race Any Alliance" utility from the Crown store.

I also recommend starting the Main Quest and the Mages and Fighter's guilds as soon as possible because of the skills in those lines.
