On PC you can track how you are doing with them using Urich's Skill Point Finder. There's an up to date version on github.
Too many toons not enough time

Just to add that those characters started before Morrowind (I think) can actually only attain 493 as there wasn't a skill point associated with character creation at the time and despite requests to Zos it has never been granted.

what im wondering is how many skill points would be needed to max out all passives and skills (and morphs) of all skills in all skill lines (can optionally include vamp or WW too) lol

most of my toons like my main that have a vast majority of the skill pts have upwards 80-100 unused and he has pts in skills or passives that dont even see much use
    plays PC/NA

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them

feel free to stop by and use the facilities

At a very quick glance, approxiamtely 630 skill points would be needed to unlock all passives, ultimates, and abilites (including morphs, though obviously only counting one morph since... well, you can only have one morph active and thus two skill points per ability), including on werewolf and vampire.

I count 608 only accounting for one morph on each skill and full rank for all passives. The first column is the skills in each category the second is the total skills.
All skills assume you only have one morph as that is all you can take.
    20 60 3 Class Skill trees
    22 132 6 Weapon Skill trees
    13 39 3 Armor Skill trees
    20 Legerdemain
    10 Soul Magic
    20 Lycanthropy
    21 Vampire
    10 Scrying
    12 Excavation
    14 28 PVP
11 22 Thieves Guild Dark Brotherhood skill trees
    19 57 Fighter's/mages/Psijiics skill trees
    14 Undaunted
    9 Racial
    20 Alchemy
    25 75 Blacksmithing/Clothing/Woodworking skill trees
    23 Provisioning
    19 Enchanting
    17 Jewelry Crafting
    608

Same here, tons of unused points on characters I actually play, my crafting alts struggle though. Anyone else remember back when you had to make serious choices about where to put points, and decide between crafting or hunting on that character?

To me it is still that way, that is why I use respecs pretty often and shift points around where I currently need them. But I'm not using add-ons to find skyshards and I just discovered, that there is now an ingame help to find them a little easier than before, which is a big QoL feature, without to ruin the fun of actually having to search for them.
