Ejected From House After Dungeon

MochaForumFiend
This is a new behavior, but I just did a random normal dungeon, leaving from my house in Auridon. After the dungeon was complete, I was at Morthal Wayshrine in Western Skyrim.

Normally when I complete dungeons, I'm still in my house afterward so I'm not sure what's going on, or how I ended up in Western Skyrim afterward.

Similarly, on a different character, I queued in the same house in Auridon and ended up in Vivec City when the dungeon was completed.

Not sure what has changed. Minor annoyance, but any annoyance is... annoying.

It's always been like that, I've never ended up back in my house after doing a dungeon or a battleground, it puts you back to the last place you were before you went into the house.

I have always ended up back at the last non-instanced place I was after a dungeon or BG

Not new. What I do is exit the house first so that will be the last place you were before entering the dungeon. When you are done the dungeon you are one load screen away from the interior. HTH.

I find that very interesting and have one question: when I'm in a house and quit the game, I'm still in house when I logon again. Why is it different when going into a dungeon?
I'm out of my mind, feel free to leave a message... PC/NA

The answer is different coding, one routine used for exiting a dungeon, a second used for logging out / logging in.

Remember houses didn't exist when dungeons were first introduced and my guess is the coding wasn't updated when houses were introduced.

It's had that weird behaviour since I started playing.

Use it to your advantage. Do your crafting, port home, put stuff away. Then next day you do your random, it ports you back to the crafting stations or stables, do your writs etc and port home.

Too many toons not enough time

interesting. I know it would kick you out of houses you didn't own if you logged out or if you got put into a dungeon/PVP/etc but I didnt know it would also kick you out of your own house.
Shortly after the formation of the Ebonheart Pact, a Nord woman was given a tour of the Tribunal Temple. When later asked about the experience, she seemed upset. Suffice to say, the Dunmer were not pleased to hear this, and thus they inquired further.
"Well," the Nord frowned, "the priests were very angry and unwelcoming. They kept shouting things at me like "you can't drink that mead in here!" and "somebody stop her, she's running naked!" and "we can't catch her; she's covered in grease!""

You don't go back to your house after a dungeon. You go back to wherever you ported to your house from last. You stay in your house if you log off. But you'll get booted from a friend's house if you log off.

its actually kind of weird if you log out from a friends house, if you own the same house (so for example the enchanted snow globe), you log off in a friends snow globe, you will log back in inside of your snow globe

if you dont own the same house then you log back in from the last non-instanced spot

i have my main house (grand topal hideaway) listed in the housing tours, it has multiple target dummies, scribing altar, and grandmaster stations (in progress being filled out), as well as almost every antiquity furnishing on display to preview them
