I picked up all the daily writ quests on all my crafters a few days before Christmas but didn't do them. I just logged on and done them all and noticed I couldn't pick up the new days quests?
Normally I would be able to do them and pick up new ones right after. I have to assume I cant because they are looped and the same as the day I picked them up? So weird. Kind of annoying and gonna miss out on 15+ gold mats because of this.

✭✭✭✭✭I believe it is a 3-day loop. And the game cannot tell difference between a, for example, "craft 2 necklaces" quest picked up on Thursday and one picked up on Sunday. So once you hand it in, game says, "They already did today's quest."7 -

✭If these "few" days are over 3 then game resets "delayed" dailies.
I believe you can postpone only one day or two.PC EU1 -

You can postpone 1 day, 2 days, 4 days, 5 days, 7 days, etc. You can only do one of each daily per day, but the different versions count as different dailies. So as long as you don't land back on the same group of dailies, you'll get a second set (though of course you'll have missed the dailies in between if you postpone more than one day).
Alchemy is on an 8 day rotation at max level so you might still get alchemy even if you don't get the others.

I've noticed that every once ina while when I get caught short on time before a rollover and have to stack a days writs till the next day.
I always wondered why it was random like that, and I appreciate you cluing me in.
