Actually, I think that varies. It basically depends on the drops campaign. Different campaigns have different rules as to which channels are valid, how long you must watch for, what dates and times they start and end on, and what the rewards are (such as a crate versus a pet). And campaigns can recur, or be reactivated with different starting and ending dates and times-- or at least the new drops get added to the count of older drops under a given campaign name.
It can be confusing, but you just need to go to the drops page on Twitch and read the details of the campaign to be sure.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!1 -

GrahamJoyce✭✭✭I stopped participating in twitch drops a long time ago. It's such a low drop rate that you can watch for hours and get nothing. Even when you do get something it's just garbage in the crate. It's not worth it in my opinion.1 -

I got the Senche of Scarlet Regret in a free crate from one of Wednesday's streams.
But, yes, usually you get items worth a total of 4-to-6 Crown Gems. I've been able to buy a number of pets with them, and once in a while I'll save up to get one of the less-expensive mounts.I've fought mudcrabs more fearsome than me!2 -

✭At least you get drops, my Drops are bugged out since 3 days. I got one from the Bethesda Stream a few days ago but since then none. If I log out twitch says I shall login to get drops, then I login and get nothing, not even the bar raising.PC|EU0
