Does any of you guys also get blue screen usually after updates?

My performance on eso was never good but my biggest fear is blue screen
Just got one now on blackwood, and yes i applied thermal paste some months ago to my cpu. However today i had a bluescreen while playing eso on eu server. It said my cpu was over temperature. I activated power saving for now.
Eso is the only game this happens... Any thing i can do to the ini files to change this?

Also I Set vsync on ingame, but my fps counter still shows 100 fps + (i fixed it , apparently i had rapid vsync on nvidia panel) , i also deleted my cache and did a clean reinstall of my addons, hopefully it will help.

Have you given your computer an early Spring clean? Dust clogging up the fans - or inadequate/failing fans - is one of the main causes of high temperatures. I'd also try disabling multi-threading if you have that enabled.

It's happening on all platforms. Whatever they did broke the game. It's not just a PC issue.

Don't forget that while there are multiple reports of blue screens on console, they are not remotely the same thing as blue screens on PCs. Some may report disconnections from the game on PC, but blue screens on a PC are much less common and more indicative of hardware issues. Again, some PC users are reporting high temperatures on the character selection screen when logging in, but that's not causing blue screens.

I have never gotten a blue screen in this game, been playing since the spring. Crashes and disconnects have been rare. PC NA.

I paid for a clean up like 6 months ago.
I got the bluescree in a alikr shrine.

I have deleted cache and all addons. Will instal the essentials only.
Also reset my settings on the nvidia control panel.

If everyone is having them at the same time it seems like it's a server issue and not a hardware issue. Take into account that every platform got booted off the server last night within the same hour...

It's not a coincidence. Something is happening to cause this and it's not our fault or our hardware. This is their issue.

Getting booted off the server is not the same thing as a PC blue screening. That is what the OP is reporting. You're on console, and blue screens are totally different on console.

No it's a complete drop from the server. It happened to everyone on every platform last night. We all got put into a log in queue. Everyone is getting booted on PC and on console right now. But it's just hardware. Performance is perfect and nothing is wrong. Smh. Read some of the other posts.

Everyone is disconnecting across all platforms right now And yet somehow it is not connected at all? Come on lol

Try reading the thread again. The OP isn't talking about being booted from the server last night, he's talking about his PC crashing with a blue screen just over a couple of hours ago. It's completely different from being booted from the server, and it's completely different from blue screening on console. Blue screens on PC are not server-related, they're hardware-related.

Over the past few years I have picked my hardware upgrades that are most compatible with ESO. Its really helped allot. In 3 months I have only had one crash and that was on a log out.

Lag has also gotten better. I played Cyrodiil last night at 1440p max settings and was able to keep about 60 FPS.

Dude... Lmao okay all the platforms that are disconnecting right now as we speak is everyone single individuals hardware. The disconnects happening simultaneously are completely unrelated.
Everyone go out and buy new PCs and new consoles because it's not related.

No something else is going on. This has never happened at this scale before.

Never had a bluescreen in ESO. Over the last year or so, I have experienced a much higher number of random crashes. I have built a new PC and done two reinstalls in that time. I even bought a new router/modem and had comcast run a new cable line, so I am about as sure as I can be that it is not on my end.

My new computer is a beast and I have no cooling issues, so a bluescreen would be pretty unlikely. My old PC was a beast as well, just a 5 year old beast. Never had a bluescreen on either. Been close to a decade since I have seen one.

The crashes are nowhere near gamebreaking, but it happens just enough to be annoying.

It's what is causing it. It's not his hardware. This is a cross platform issue. There is nothing he can do to fix it because this is server wide. So yes it is.

This, sometimes ESO crashes during character swap.
ESO had crash streaks like then DSA and CoH2 crashed all most users.
Frequent blue screens on an pc and something is wrong with your system. For console I don't know how common. Guess its more common than on pc?
We had one having to leave a pvp run but that was because his internet was down. Cyrodil then IC.

I haven't had a PC blue screen in over 10 years, and certainly not in this or other games. And that one over 10 years back was due to a borked windows update release.
