Note spamming protection?

I am trying to make an addon that it changes the notes on your friendlist. After a few successful experiments i realized that i was blocked(?) from changing the notes, i couldn't change them nether with the addon nor by going manually and changing them myself.
If there any "spam" protection for notes? If so, how often can a note be changed without getting blocked?

Smaxx✭✭✭✭✭The rate is about one change every 1-1.5 seconds. Hit the same rate limiting with the SpamFilter addon. Wait two seconds between requests and you should be fine. Keep in mind that it looks like all friends list/ignore list actions share the same timer (adding, removing, updating notes,...).Edited by Smaxx on April 29, 2014 6:14PM1
