Performance is high priority but I've seen a lot of people leave over the difficulty of the overland zones and the lack of a true tutorial. It lead to some of my friends calling ESO a "spam game" because they never learned rotations, how to weave abilities together (not even going to touch LA weaving in this post), and how to build their character.

It got stale for them and I feel the reason ESO got as popular as it did is the universe, the fan base from the single player games, and the story. If you don't care for any of those things and are in it for the gameplay ESO does a poor job of teaching it to you.

I love this game and I hope that it continues to be successful. That being said...
Performance improvement is essential. EVERY area of the game has been experiencing an increase in the prevalence of lag, glitches, unintended bugs and exploits.

As the game world expands with each subsequent patch, there are more and more ways that the game breaks and some bugs and glitches go for years after they are discovered without being fixed.
I appreciate the recent efforts to fix the game but more is needed.

I think ZOS needs to find a better way to deal with the performance issues and that should be their number one priority.

    All of the above?

    - The game is way too unbalanced. DPS is king in MMO's but in this game, it gets godly when the minmax crowd does it. Being able to out heal healers, WHILE out tanking tanks, WHILE doing an insane amount of DPS. It's so one-sided that it affects things game wide. PvP, especially.

    - Toxicity. WAAAAAY too prevalant. Again, PvP is a huge part of this but it's all over the game. More so, when you're in a dungeon and someone is trying to speed run on normal, costing the rest of the group loot. A lot of times, it's the same people who just copy/paste those builds off the internet, and then trash talk the rest of the group while causing problems FOR the rest of the group.

    - Fake tanks/heals is annoying but mostly due to that first point. DPS is so unbalanced that there IS no need for tanks or healers, and you seemingly get punished for playing as such, since you need X amount of DPS, even though you're NOT a DPS. Fake DPS, though, seems like a misnomer, since the game does absolutely NOTHING to teach you how to break the game or do all the things that allow people to get their uber builds. I usually build my characters AS characters, so the DPS varies so widely. IF you don't have out of game add-ons, you'll never even know how vast that difference can be, either.

    - Between the heavy toxicity and imbalance in the game, PvP has been a nightmare. More so, when my Crafter (heals) has a writ that requires me to capture an entire [Snip] town, just to use the crafting stations. [Snip]. I HATE PvP in this game for all this but it would be cool to see more done with it. I actually like how they have PvP, it's just completely pointless when one person can wade through zergs like they were level one players.

    - Monetization. This one, for me personally, has always been terrible. The prices are all WAAAAAAAY too high. Anything you guy should be account-wide and not single character unlocks (armory/costume slots), the housing is cool but exorbitantly priced for how little you can do/get from it. It's whaling, and now that we can buy skyshards and skill lines, it's getting questionable for me. Not quite pay to win but, again, with how unbalanced and toxic PvP is, it gives an unfair advantage for money, over others. It's not as bad as EA but overall, the monetization is crap, compared to the game, it's issues, and a lot of the things they're doing vs not doing.

    - Performance. It's not as bad as it was last year but for what they're charging, it's utter crap that they let it get THAT broken, let alone for THAT long. I'm currently finding that there is an issue where actual abilities aren't firing the first few clicks, and a lot of interactions are having problems. I've tested this and it's only THIS game, specifically, and not my controller or keyboard. It's just frustrating that i'm being punished for not doing a million DPS and being invincible, but it's even worse when i can't even activate the abilities.

-Vampire reVamp. This is a personal gripe but it seems like someone really hates players that play as vamps. They completely negate the regen on one of the three main stats, they can't used 70-80% of vendors, their best defense just got changed to PvP only, which is a big middle finger to those who dislike PvP, I greatly dislike that i lost my favorite Ult (bat swarm) because i refuse to use that transformation power. It's great for those who WANT it but it would be nice if i could get Swarm back WITHOUT having to transform into the scion. Everything about that is okay by me EXCEPT the physical transformation. It just seems like the whole reVamp goes against the players and even the lore, and i would love to see it updated again. More so, considering how unpopular a lot of the changes were, especially when compared to other vampire npcs in game.

    - Devs don't care. If they do or not, it really seems like they don't. I know individuals DO care about the players and the game but good lord, looking at the things Zos does, the company clearly doesn't. It doesn't help when they go radio silent on everything, as well. At least we're getting posts on the main page about events and stuff but it would be nice to get more communications about the game, interactions with the community, etc. I guess that's something to look forward to, as we get closer to the new year and new "year of content". Hell, just look at how long people have been asking for the ability to hide the ugly or hugely off body shoulder pads. That's an easy fix and they just don't care enough to do it.

    - Lack of Variety. I love that we get so much freedom to pick and choose abilities, and i love that they level based on how much we use them. It would just be nice to get more creative things, as well. New weapon types would be fantastic. New classes are always great. More mount variety would be nice. Creatively, i like that we're getting a year of content based on a single story/theme, but there is a lot of places where it would be nice to get smaller, more creative additions.

I believe that the biggest challenge for ESO is to reach a stable and clean version of the game, with less bugs, improved maintenance sessions (less often, shorter, ...) and a solution for the addons (they are 3rd party programs, and as such, per definition a source for troubles).

And sorry for what I will say next, but I'm not sure how valuable it is to maintain different versions of the game (PC, PSx, ...). I can imagine that it's pretty costly in all aspects. I don't know if they have 3 different profit centers, or a unique one for all (re budget), but I wonder if to maintain only one version could possibly be the best chance of having a solid future for the game.

I could have voted for any of them. I firmly believe the 'year long story' is detrimental to the health of the game. (Yes, I know it's designed to get those of us who don't sub to buy the DLC). It's certainly (in my opinion) detrimental to the writing quality.

Performance is very important, I only pvp when I need something in Cyrodiiil (like caltrops) and even I have experienced the skills not firing, the weapon not swapping and rubber-banding all over the shop.

And the monetization? Yeah, it's pretty bad. Exactly how many mounts can we earn in the game again? I mean, get top level in the Assasins Guild and get Shadowmere, it's not rocket science. And just how many times can they sell a reskinned Welwa? We all have a go at WoW and it's monetization (and rightly so) but at least you can earn plenty of mounts just by playing the game. And I can see it driving people away. In fact I know it does. It's in yer face all the time. At least FF14 only has it on the Mogstation and not in game (don't get me started on retainers). And they should let people just buy the craft bag if they want.

Honestly, if I didn't dislike the fact that the MSQ in FF14 is set behind unskippable dungeons, there is a good chance I may have moved on permanently by now.

Heh, looks like I should have chosen Monetization instead.

So they raised the floor and lowered the ceiling. Except the ceiling has spikes in it now and the floor is also lava.

According to Rich on a recent stream of his, the team has found out what the issues are with Cyrodiil’s performance and have plans on getting said issues addressed. Keep in mind that Cyro performance isn’t gonna be fixed overnight. I’m looking forward to whenever the fixes come out, and I hope the team keeps figuring out/working on performance issues in the game in general.

Instead of a chapter, small dlc, and 2 dungeon packs, perhaps 3DLC’s, 2 with 1 dungeon that ties directly into the story in a linear format, and 1 DLC with a Trial that doesn’t have to but can tie directly to the story in a linear or non-linear format. And the dungeon pack could be related but not directly to the story, or not at all, or again a linear format as mentioned above.

None of them really. I don't have any issues with performance, I've not had toxicity, I wouldn't care if pvp got some love but I personally have zero use for it... I don't have a problem with the economy; the game works perfectly fine for me, for what I play; and I don't want to see overland made harder.

A fresh change to the release formula of new content
Disclaimer: got bored, don't want to do something meaningful, so I write this huge and useless post.

    So...
Although I voted for the content release formula, in my opinion the 3 things are equally important in the list:
    - the content release formula
    - the fake tanks & heals
    - the monetization.

As for the content releases, I believe that the current approach probably puts a lot of burden on the team. Having to write, build, voice over and program the DLCs so frequently and get them ready in time might be difficult. So, the team have to hurry, and have no time for any other things like overviewing the old content to fix some issues, make some minor face lifting to the zones, old armor models, tweak and modernize the systems, finish any half-done and canceled stuff, etc.

Fake tanks & healers. Agree with @WraithShadow13 in this regard. The time goes on and the game seems to continue to increase this problem further. And the main reason of that in my opinion is the overall university of the characters.
Although, I understand that it's actually in the game's core design more than anything else. The "play the way you want" slogan and the TES legacy with its all-in-one character building ability that is expected by so many players. And it makes the problem worse, because on one hand we - players - want the freedom of character building and roles, the diversity and hybrids viability, and on the other hand we want the old good "holy trinity" system to remain the optimal choice. That's really hard to manage it all at once and to please everyone. Probably even impossible. So, we have the game leaning more to the all-in-one formula. And in this situation we obviously get those smartest and very busy people who simply don't have time for that "stupid and glitchy queue", especially because they are (or think they are) capable of doing it solo, so they just go sit on the tank/healer chair.
Also, with every next year I notice the tendency that I see fast runners and fake tanks/heals significantly more often. I recently got back to the game after a long break (left shortly after Elsweyr release in 2019) and what I can say is that it feels like PUGs nowadays are not the same they were in 2017-2019. Maybe it's the natural player skills and knowledge progression, maybe a power creep produced by new sets, I can't tell for sure. But I definitely feel like ESO PUGs now remind me of WoW PUGs where player base is much more focused on fast efficient XP grind than actually playing and enjoying the game the way it was designed to be played. And they can do that because they don't really need anyone and don't care about those random garbage losers in their team who only want to waste the whole 10 minutes of their precious time. They just need to get the daily XP bonus ASAP and get out. Have to note that I'm not even that type of a player who wants to slowly explore the dungeon and read the quests. I actually feel fine if I have to skip the dialogues. But even if I myself farm the dungeon gear and I ran it 30 times today already, I still can't run forward without looking back at my teammates and waiting for them if they seem to be doing the quest or got full inventory and especially if I clearly see that it's their very first time. But that's me who don't estimate his time properly. The fake tanks and healers on the other hand are so smart and busy that they just don't have time to wait in the queue.

The monetization. Not much to say here. Just want to point out that it's definitely not because of the recent drama about Rich's stream, respec scrolls ads in shop and such. I just want to say that I can't even imagine how would I consider to buy a costume or a furniture pack in the CS. Looking at the prices I really think that I feel like I am the poorest man in the world and the only ones who could buy that stuff are really rich people. Yeah. The prices are completely out of the way and always have been.

Now, what I think about other points in the poll.
Performance. It's more or less fine in my case. I have issues with certain areas in all the non-vanilla zones. Balmora, where I got micro fps drops which never happened to me before the Morrowind release. Then it was Alinor's central district where I got constant 40 fps. Then Elsweyr (both Northern and Southern) where I finally figured out how to deal with the issues. I had to disable the ambient occlusion completely to get rid of the annoying fps fluctuations. Cyrodiil always has been okay in my experience however (but I don't play it on daily basis though).
The "fake DDs". What do you mean? The newbies randomly using random skills on their magician swordsman? I don't consider it a problem. Sure, I would like ESO to have some more transparent representation of stats and their relations to each other. Like showing off in percents how much more damage I'll get if I increase my max magicka by 1024 points, but in general MMORPGs always have bad dps and great dps and it's mainly on the players themeselves to take some efforts and to do some research. And yeah, as always, if anyone don't like low dps in PUG, then they should just stop PUGing. Simple as that.
New PvP content. Well, looking at the open world arenas in Stormhaven, Artaeum and such I always think "what is that and why does it feel like it meant to be something but never got a proper implementation actually?". We really need them to be dedicated dueling areas. There have to be NPCs to repair the armor, bankers and even the new armory stations to swap equipments and builds, also one could dream of some dueling contests where players come to an NPC to register for a fight and get an opponent chosen from other registered competitors, some daily requirements like win 10 duels to get alliance points maybe. Although the NPC should make sure you don't get a competition duel with your guildmates to prevent one of the most obvious abuses of such system.
In-game economy. I'm not an economist, and I can't tell if it's even possible for devs to balance the economics in-game. How would they do that at all? Regulating the gold rewards in real time? Changing prices of NPC services, houses and such? Don't know.
Balance changes. ZOS do this all the time. And there will always be something requiring more balance changes. I don't know any MMORPG in the world that would be perfectly balanced.
Toxicity. Can't fight against it. The more popular a game becomes, the more "unwanted" people it attracts.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

Solo PvE'er on PC NA here so when I say performance, I mostly mean reliability and bugs.

And lotsa small QoL things that should be pretty easy, like:
    -Hide shoulders.
    -More warden bear colors.
    -Fix Timbercrow Wanderer 'diaper' problem.
-Let companions carry a dozen or so companion items to make gear changes less unfriendly.
-Allow us to lock companion gear items.

QoL things that might take a bit more effort:
-Let us bring companions into homes (the 'houseguest mannequins don't cut it).
-Increase Bolgrul's pool of undaunted daily delve quest from 1 per basic zone (15) to two per each of the same zones (30).
-Make an undaunted daily WB quest using the basic alliance zones since DLC WBs are generally too hard to solo.
-Armory system - allow gear for changes to remain in bank instead of requiring it to be carried by character and add mundus stone change.

Oh yes! Increase housing caps. Our guild hall really needs that. Also, redo the attunable tables system that has horribly outgrown its design with the addition of an additional craft (jewelry) and a never ending influx of new sets with their attunable tables. A full service guild hall is quickly getting to the point of requiring two large guildhalls that are literally seas of tables. We really need to transition to a system that allows for expandability. Specifically, one set of master attunable crafting tables where you attune new sets by adding them to a drop down master menu. The details of the system and transition to it only require an open mind with a touch of creativity to make work.

A fresh change to the release formula of new content
I would really like the content releases to go back to how they used to be. I hate this piecemeal rationing out of story parts. I've been a plus subscriber for a few years now and until recently I was under the impression that if I bought the main part in June, I'd get the second part included when it came out later in the year. Now I've learnt it's not so. I know this is probably done precisely so people will subscribe, but I do not like it. I want them to just release a complete story package, once a year, or whenever. If they want to release a dungeon pack in between that is not related to any other story (like Shadows of the Hist) that's cool too. This would help them too; instead of having to rush unfinished content to meet a deadline, they could release it when it's actually ready.

Most of the other stuff I never have problems with. Performance? Yeah, it was a little glitchy when there were a hundred people around a new world boss, but that's about it. Toxicity? I've only ever had one person in my ignore list. Even in PVP, I've never had someone's arse in my face, or gotten mean private messages. Fake roles? Again, never been a problem, and sometimes if you're playing with a few friends you need to fake it, it works out okay.
