It would be great if we could adjust ambient light levels in specific rooms and/or areas to create a space suited for the desired environmental look.
Although most homes have a day/night cycle, while working on a design at Cold Harbour I found it impossible to achieve the desired effect due to the overall greyish-blue lighting and the "shine-thru" of various placed lighting items ( braziers, lamps etc ).
I have attempted to use the EHT FX darkness features but ended up more confused
If anyone has some pointers/tips about adjusting an area's darkness ( a specific room or level of a building ) - please pass it on
I tried various Darkness effects : global, veil etc and couldn't quite figure out what was working how and could not find any information about the specific effects.
I understand it essentially changes the Gamma (?) and thus reduces any light thrown from lamps, sconces as well - which is detrimental to the overall atmosphere.
If anyone could explain or point me to a video explaining the differences between veil and pervasive etc I'd appreciate it. Is there a way to define a 3D block of increased Darkness and move it into a specific area? & thinking of a block of darkness that's just "inside" the area and leaves wall sconces unaffected ?
Thanks in advance
