What if? Plants/Planters/Containers

Was buying some of the plants from Luxury Furnishing vendor today and lamenting the lack of pots with soil in to use some of said plants in :(

Then an idea struck me, we have lighting furnishings that toggle on/off, so why not have a similar system for Planters/Vases/Containers so you can chose to use them with/without soil/water/whatever using a simple toggle system as with the lighting furnishings?

Imo this would make these furnishings far more versatile and of far more use to players than they currently are.

I would appreciate peoples thoughts on this?

I'd like to harvest alchemy mats from them.

But, yeah, what you said probably works, too. :)

I'd love to have plantable planters like in the buildable houses in Skyrim and certain mods which also provided things like that. I don't care about having harvestables personally, but there are probably people who would love that!

I think people have suggested since ever that ZOS should implement soil/dirt ground so we could make our own gardens. There are several other options like using clockwork trash or brown stone furniture what could look like soil but its not the same,at least in my opinion is isnt.

In the of planters/pots there could be simply 2 versions of each, one with soil and one without or as you said, turning it on and off would be a solution for these specific problem too I guess.

I've posted on this topic before and you're correct, there is a lack of potted plants in the game. This includes pots with soil. Plants are very trendy nowadays and I would like to see more options in the game. I must live in an indoor garden

    Don't mind the idea.

Would like a version you can plant alchemy plants in and harvest on a cool down, could be a good alternative since alchemy does not get hirelings.

Would also be nice if like every other game I have decorated in, the items were resizable. There would be no need for 100 planters of varying sizes, when 5 that could be scaled would do. This would also help paintings, creating buildings, the various weird scaling's on the current furniture, etc... Even better, also have selectable skins/colors on the items, another feature of many other games.

Yep. This is the biggest issue I have with housing in ESO.... Housing in RIFT was SO much better, in so many directions.

Instead of what we actually wanted. But if you want ideas for planters I can post a few screenshots of what I've done.

Player have been requesting pots and planters with soil for as long as I can remember. Some with water would be nice too. There are ways to fake it but then you lose item slots which are already at a premium to the materials you use to make the pot look like there is soil in it.
