Lightning Heavy attacks and Tri Focus passive.

Ok I think zos likes that people can aim random NPC and then tri focus hitting for 12k each heavy attack dot from lightning staff on 33k armor...
Not sure how is done but I got an idea.
Molten armaments 50% heavy attack damage. Empower. 15% form cp. Other heavy attacks. And corrosive so tri focus ignores armor cause its seen as direct damage cause its a proc on the ligthning staff heavy dot????
Not sure whats going on. But doing so much aoe damage while getting resources back is not done!!!!

Jord_Joe✭Buff "Empower" give 40% more damage to heavy attacks, "Off Balance" status, give 70% to heavy attacks only, sets adds damage to heavy attack too (i no remeber the name of sets but have 3 sets like this) and "Maelstroms Staff", if u have DK, u can easy take this buffs, and u know DK have more 50% damage on heavy because Molten Armaments Buff...Edited by Jord_Joe on December 9, 2021 1:43PM0 -

ThePedge✭✭✭✭✭Light Attack sets should only buff the final tick of resto/lightning heavy.
They fixed every set afaik so that it doesn't work for both DW hits. But lightning works for all ticks and can not be dodged.
I saw this as someone who has used a HA build regularly over the past year.2 -

By blocking>stunning>bursting down. HA builds can't heal for [snip]. After you stopped them doing the damage, just make some pressure of your own and mop the floor with them.

MEBengalsFan2001✭✭✭✭✭Here are things that can easily boost light/heavy attacks of staffs...
Wearing heavy amor - each piece boost the overall damage of magika based attacks by 1%. For each piece you wear you need to wear a light piece to remove this negative effect: 0-7%
Lighting Status effect: 5% more damage
Minor/Major vulnerability: 5% / 10%
Without going any further into what can boost light attack damage if you take these modifiers here and add them up you can easily be debuffed to take an additional 27% damage from a lighting staff heavy attack.
Next we can easily add to it the CP which boost light/heavy attacks by another 15%.
Let's talk about 33K resistance. You could have had major and minor fracture along with resistance lowering poison or enchantment. Not sure if this applies but Penetrating Magika ignores 10% of the player resistance making the overall resistance not 33K but closer to 20K if all of these effects apply.
Than there is gear that can also boost heavy attacks base damage.

Sergeant's Mail
If the player used Sergeant's Mail and either of the Undaunted gear Heavy attack damage would be boosted by another 3942.
Possible buffs the player could have are major and minor courage, major and minor berserk, buff from taking a resource, scroll buffs, emperor buff, etc....
Without knowing what the player base spell damage was when they hit you along with all the their buffs and any debuff on you it's hard to say how much damage they can or can't do.
I know in PVE my sorc using the lighting staff (sorc get a 5% bonus damage for shock attacks) typically hit targets for around 30K when the enemies receive the minor/major fracture.

Seriously, a full shock heavy build can hit hard, just like any glass cannon build can. But to get it hitting that high it has an incredibly long wind up. You've got to get in combat, wait a gcd, proc ui, proc uu, get the guy off balance, hope he stands in your woe... Plus probably pop a corrosive if you're getting hit through 33k resists.... And you are incredibly squishy and incredibly vulnerable to being interrupted because you're channeling. Go try it ... 1 -
