Valaste and the Mages Guild Ending *Potential Spoiler* .. Will she ever return in the future?

I was thinking about this, my first character I took the 2 skill points and felt horrible about it. My second character I saved her and felt great but then felt left out that I'm now missing two skill points. We are now several years past these events, multiple expansions and I feel like its time for Zenimax to focus on a Sheogorath expansion to allow redemption for players who sacrificed her by allowing them to save her (reward nothing) and for the people who saved her, she rewards them with 3 skill points as she joins you to help defeat Sheogorath's mad plan.

This would be the perfect justice. Those who chose to do the right thing are finally rewarded after all these years with 3 skill points and those who did it for the 2 skill points can redeem themselves but are out 1 skill point.

Kind of the karmic justice that brings storylines full circle that's needed in this game.

I feel that Sheogorath has been overrepresented in our games. He had a primary role in the Mages Guild questline, he is featured in every TES game (at least III-V), AND has an entire TES DLC dedicated to him (the Shivering Isles). Plus, we're all daedra'ed out (I definitely am, at least). I, for one, do not need more Sheogorath.

I'd love to work with Valaste again though. In my game, she's in a constant state of exhaustion, the poor dear.

I don't get attached to pretty pixels, so off she goes with Uncle Sheo whenever I make an alt.
I was devastated when I sacrificed a boring Redguard during the MQ, only to see his tired behind again in Southern Elsweyr later.

I confess to sacrificing her on my 1st playthrough but after that I saved her on subsequent characters.

It depends on the character I was playing at the time. My rogue like and vampire characters traded her off for the points. My "good" characters condemn her to a life of boredom at the mages guild. Either way I think the mage questline experience sort of broke Valaste permanently no matter what her fate ends up being. :(

Or, allow us to sacrifice her again and award us with 3 skill points if we do so, in comparison to 1 if we go the goody goody way.

Honestly though, I did feel bad, but it was just yesterday I had 2 skill points extra which I spent for my PVP build, so I guess I made the right choice after all.

I loved that quest though, it's been a really long time since I've done it but I remember looking forward to every part of it when switching zones. I kind of wish they just added some new story quests to the guilds with a few DLC's every now and then.

    +1.
I feel good and awarded already for making a good decision. Also, we have tons of skill points available anyway.
One of the two of us definitely has gone mad. It only remains to define whether this one is the whole world or just me.

I feel like the title is a little spoiler itself as you acknowledge she is gone, if you haven't done the quest then you wouldn't know what happened to her.

I almost always do the good or right thing during quests simply because I don't want random strangers yelling at me when I log in to do writs.

She is alive and well for all my alts, but I would put up with the annoyed peasants and have sacrificed her in a second for an apex mount.

I am so very very tired of Sheogorath and if he never showed up in ESO again, it'd be too soon.

The only Daedric Prince I would not be mad seeing is Peryite and Sanguine, who have not shown up in ESO at all.

Namira and Vaermina both haven't gotten anything since base-game, and I guess I'd be fine for them.

It is unlikely that she shows up, because she is one of those player choice characters, and is either frolicking in the shivering isles, or relegated to standing outside the guild hall unable to rest.

That said, and this is probably the wrong thread, but I would dearly like to see a lorkhan/Harold hairy breeks/wulfharth reincarnation cycle up close for the first time in tes history.

Such a chapter can maybe start with two dungeons exploring Tiber septim and Pelinel and then follow his quest to destroy elves but ends up threatening the whole world and must be stopped etc.

We can maybe get a look into his fractured mind and the change-stasis dichotomy that he as a godless avatar represents.

The chapter can even include large parts of maps already created and cyrodiil or maybe parts of skyrim and morrowind can be reused as overland maps for the chapter, exploring each race''s reactions to his resurrection, such as nords welcoming him as Shor, and the dark elves preparing for war. Etc.

If I ever see Sheogorath again, I hope it is to wave him off as he picks up that hammer and leaves Cyrodiil forever.

I would just like to question why "doing the right thing" is seen as being the option to save her?

I always take the two skill points, and as far as I'm concerned she is happy as Larry with Sheo.

So I did the right thing, even though many of you seem to think I did the wrong thing, whereas I think anybody you who "save" her did the wrong thing.

    Agreed.

and if leaving her to frolick amongst butterflies upsets Shali Dali, more the better.

Real big bad of that questline is Shalidor, who in all his arrogance fell for Sheogoraths manipulations and now expects Valaste and Vestige to fix it for him. *points /mistletoeposterior at Shalidor*

I never take the skill points. On my main, I have 40+ unspent skill points because I've maxed out all the skills I need. I guess if you don't own any of the extra chapters and DLCs, maybe I can see why passing on two skill points would hurt. Otherwise there are plenty of skill points to go around.

Having said that, I would love to see Valaste pop up again (apart from standing around in Eyevea doing nothing). I said in another thread I'd love to see some quest love for the existing base game zones and the guilds where NPCs we know are involved.

(For those who say she couldn't show up again because of the different choices players made, think Raz.)
