Auridon Dolmens now cycle/block like Harrowstorms, killing parties

I play since 3 years, and often love to return to the Iluvamir Dolmen at Vulkuhel Guard.

People held parties there, making music, dancing, showcasing their shiny mounts, presenting mementos and emotes.

Latelly I wondered why the amount of people decreased there, and quickly learned that the respawn of the dolmen can now can take half an hour or longer.

The reason is: the dolmens now "cycle" like Harrowstorms.

First Iluvamir, then Calambar near Mathisen, then Vafe near Firsthold.
Problem is, that these bllock the others until they are finished. As long as nobody finished the dolmen near Mathisen and then the one near Firsthold, the one near Vulkhuhel Guard will not respawn.
You can observe this on the map, if you have discovered all three.

This kills the holiday ambience party culture that was so relaxing and inviting, so I would like to request that this change is rolled back again, please.

Hasn't this been the case for years? I swear I've been following dolmens around in some spawn order for ages.

What change its always been like that, in either a clockwise or counter clockwise rotation.

If you were standing around at one the only reason it went again is because someone else was clearing the next ones in the cycle.

You just could not see it was up before without traveling to find it, the only change is you can now see which one has been activated, until the current one activated is cleared the next one won't trigger.

    No, at least not Iluvamir.

There a typical scheme was to do the dolmen, then head down to the Maomer camp nearby to kill some pirates, then after 5 minutes back to the dolmen as it respawned.
As soon as you got tired from this circle, you just stood at the dolmen engaging in the social interaction (dancing etc.) or just looked at all the people doing stuff.

But you are right in so far, as in Alik'r there exists a cycle, making it popular to level up in dolmen runs.

In Alik'r yes, in Auridon not. Iluvamir had a fixed 5 minute cycle, I even used a clock when I levelled up down at the maomer camp to return to the next dolmen respawn in time.

I farmed some gear at dolmens earlier this year. I went from one to the next and then to the third and repeated without delay. Is this what you say has been the design for years?

There is no fixed order, but the "next" dolmen would spawn if it was off cooldown, so the "clockwise" or "counterclockwise" order was determined by where the players went next.

I'm at Iluvamir right now, xbox EU.
Since 1 hour no respawn, as it is blocked by calambar (3 am german time). This definately did not happen in the past, where you could arrive in the mid of the night and start fighting.

I will update the title to clarify that my issue is with the Auridon Dolmens.

Auridon has been on an pattern too, used them to level up alts years ago. Found it better than Alik'r since you got in more xp from kills as is was only 7-15 on it rater than +40.
Now they might have increased the reset time if none does the dolmen.
Another thing is that people has been doing the fighter guild daily a lot to level up Mirri some zones has horible placement of dolmens like Riverspire and Stonefall. Well past the peak now but still common to do.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Was it really a party if most of the players were AFK or bots?

don't know what you talk about, guess different systems = different community.
On xbox (EU and NA) is is a nice ambience, you just have to block some guys to avoid reading toxic comments in zonechat. Are you on PC?

The system works the same as it used to work for ages. As you've mentioned the dolmen at Vulkhuhel Guard is blocked by an other dolmen and as long as that dolmen isn't cleared none of the other two dolmen will become active.

Especially at 3 am there are enough people who just ride by and unintentionally activated that dolmen dolmen and didn't care about fighting the mobs there further. I triggered some in the past few days myself without bothering clearing them as I simply collected treasure maps and crafting mats.

Sure, this is annoying when you want to chill out and camp a single dolmen only, especially when you didn't train faster horse riding on your toons yet, but at some point you probably should go to other places, i.e. the other two dolmen, and clear those areas.

No, at 3 am xbox EU is dead, there are no people triggering it.
AlnilamE explained above best how the old system worked.

A dolmen was triggered by people approaching it, but there was no fixed order.
So you COULD play clockwise or counterclockwise if you wanted - but you were not determined to do it.
The fixed order is what is new, and so the bocking mechanism.
