Another necro..... Basically to play DK slot Burning Embers, slot Whip, Slot Fossilize/Talons, slot a flame staff for a sorta pseudo ranged option and buff to status effect chances, more flame damage, and direct damage boosting. Profit.

I recommend looking at this build, with a grain of salt. It is solo focused, so it isn't for trials or dps meters. I don't suggest using it one for one, but to use to get a sense of how you can build a dk to suit your gameplay style.

What I love about dragonknights is that they are a sturdy class which makes them inherently good at solo gameplay. I have often mixed weapon types (stam/mag) with my DK so I can regain both resources' by way of heavy attacks. Their biggest strength is their weakness sometimes, because their abilities hit hard but are more expensive than other class' skills. That's why I always build resource sustain into my build in some way, through choices of skill, gear, food, or mundus.
