I am just finishing up what is shaping up to be my first (effective) build. The first character I ever did, was so poorly built (and I had so little skill) that I ran into bosses on the main quest that I could not take out without some kind of help.
Historically, I have been terrible at light attack weaving. With this build, I find it almost natural to do, but I still find myself occasionally struggling with resources. However, I suspect that will go away after I finish polishing my rotation up (which will likely include a heavy attack or two.
While I am planning on running a more group dungeons and possibly trials, knowing me, I will likely be trying to solo as much content as I can, just because I am a bit of an anti social in the game.

I'm now to the point where I can solo most base game world bosses. I have built a skill rotation/combination that I really like and that seems effective. Now, I just have to get an armor set to go with it. Starting off, I will use crafted sets. From there, I may or may not switch to dropped sets (overland/dungeon or otherwise).
I have two Maelstrom's Lightning Staffs.
I have pretty much settled on crafting a set of
Law of Julianos. I am debating on the other set I will grab. Right now, the options are
1.
Hundings Rage (for the extra weapon and Spell Damage along with crit chance)
2.
Kvatch Gladiator (for the extra damage when enemies are below 25%)
3.
Spell Parasite (for the sustain in the five piece set)
