Atoll of Immolation: what loot is supposed to drop in there?

Ive done atoll of immolation many times and get nothing but a green or blue weapon that i also get from doing my fargrave dailies. I think i got ONE blue old recipy, not even a new recipe.

I do my daily writs on main and alts and i sometimes get motifs and gear so better loot chance than the atoll of immolation boss that takes more time and effort.

The only new recipe drop i got was a green for a box of grapes furnishing 😨😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Then I'll see a player selling many purple and blue recipes on zone chat and wonder how, just how do they find them?

It's like you have to be some kind of Ninja bot farmer to get anything decent

-lead for one of the antiquity gear pieces

Ah yes I got the lead for the enchant table...i have the enchant station now
I must just be very unlucky with furnishing recipe drops

I got a deadlands archway purple furnishing plan, the rest was junk (rings/weapons), but tried it only 4 times.

I don't like these portals at all and if I would not be busy with other tasks, I would run harrowstorms or even dolmens instead, even if they don't drop the expensive blueprints now and then.

The Atoll of Immolation is the new name for the Blackwood public dungeon formerly known as the Deadlands, right?

If I go in there, I usually like to spend a little bit of time on each island, killing every single mob at least once, and sometimes multiple times, instead of just rushing through to the next portal. My reason for doing that isn't necessarily because I want to kill everything at least once-- although I do-- but more because I want to loot any chests I come across, as well as give them a little time to respawn if they'd already been looted by other players before I entered. Farming a few chests in there is one way to increase the quality and quantity of loot you're getting out of the place.

Is it really a public dungeon with a group event that gives a scale point as well as a regional sky shard somewhere? Because I haven’t been able to find the group event *or* the sky shard. And, like the OP, I’ve also had trouble with not getting regional set piece drops when I kill the bosses. Is the place bugged?

No it's not. Only place it says it's a public dungeon is the loading screen and that info is incorrect.

In terms of plunder skulls, it's an insurgent event like dolmen's, dragon's etc.

Yeah, I probably should have put quotation marks around "public dungeon." I'm not sure why they refer to it that way on the liading screen, unless it's because of the way it's instanced.

OK, thanks. So is there a public dungeon with a group event in the Deadlands? If so, I guess I haven’t found it yet…when I saw the load-in screen on the Atoll, I figured that was it.

No, there isn't a public dungeon in the Deadlands. Chapters get two public dungeons, the tiny year-end DLCs get none.

Thanks for posting this, I assumed incorrectly that the Deadlands structural furnishing plans would come from the Fargrave dailies so I have not been farming here.

I saw that this area is a carbon copy of the same area in Blackwood so I thought the same regular Deadlands furnishing plans from Blackwood would drop there and I already have them.

The enchanting table is nice, I hope to get a few of them if I can.

Ummm I think the Deadlands structurals are supposed to drop from the dailies but they goofed and they're dropping from these instead. Seem to recallcresding that somewhere.

You can also get credit for the complete 30 Deadlands portals dlc achievement just hanging out at that final boss. Fairly sure that isn't intended either- I did 15-20 final bosses and it gave me credit for the 30.

From those 15-20 I got one purple blueprint, a couple greens and the two leads. Not a bad idea to knock out the achievement right now while theres still people in there doing them.

Well the Blackreach Deadlands furnishing plans dropped from the final boss so it is sort of consistent, though the Leyawiin structural plans were in the Blackwood daily reward coffers. I guess there won’t be any structural plans in the Fargrave daily coffers.

Now in the Deadlands, the structural plans are from the same boss in the Deadlands portal entry that leads to the same Havocrel last boss in...the Deadlands?

I can see a portal to the Deadlands in Blackwood but a similar portal in the Deadlands to the Deadlands? Did anyone think this through?
