Issues with keyboard

I am unable to type anything as my chat pad will not appear in game. No I'm not comm banned. I can see chat and link gear. My chat pad will not open. I can't create a new character, search for random items in guild merchants, nor report this issue in game. I am playing on Xbox na. Please help with this issue. Also trying to type from Xbox app will not work either. It's like my chat pad just disappeared.
