suggestion - display saved passive skills in armory builds

given that each armory build saves passive skills as well as the active ones, it would make perfect sense to be able to somehow check which passive skills are saved as part of a build.

    or at least a "spent skillpoints" counter.

    i wonder if addons could possibly do this?
    @Baertram hope you don't mind the ping, you're the addon guru afaik & forum active too. :)

    I just get all core passives and base abilities I know I'll use in every build and save that as my soft reset in the second slot.

    Hello Muttsmutt, I'm no guru, just addon active :D

    Never looked into the armory stuff so far though.
    But the API given provides this function which looks promissing:
    * GetArmoryBuildSkillsTotalSpentPoints(*luaindex* _buildIndex_)
    ** _Returns:_ *integer* _spentPoints_

    You can try this ingame in the chat editbox like this:
    /script d(GetArmoryBuildSkillsTotalSpentPoints(1))

    where 1 wuld be your armory build index, and I hope it starts with 1 ;-)

    But there do not seemt o be any API functions to check for passive or active skills in the armory build.

    @Baertram
    unfortunately i can't figure out why /script commands don't work for me ingame, however, it's great to know that the function exists at all, thank you for the input! perhaps somebody will feel like making an addon for displaying that. if i had the know-how, i would.

    You simply need to enter it into the chat editbox and press the return key. The output will be done in the chat's debug output, same where system messages are shown! Maybe you have disable them in the chat tab options. Or you are using another addon which re-routes them to another UI (like DebugLogViewer shows the d() messages in it's own UI).

    Disable all addons and try:
    /script d("Hello world")

    You should see the "Hello world" output somewhere in your chat tabs then, if system messages are not disabled at the chat tab options ( and afaik this is only able to be disabled if you enable the addon pChat, else the "System" entry in the chat tab options is missing at the vanillla UI).

    If the hello world does not work I'm puzzled why not, it should do fine :o
