Not in 1 pass, RNG is way to fickle to accept this & get 10x a really poor amount/item
but auto-respawning on completing until you are out would be a better option...

Yeah, I was about to post the same thing, then saw your response. I would much rather pick something 3+ separate times, than toss all my eggs in one basket and get one really crappy roll on a jewelry node and wasting those maps, which i am certain would happen *way* more often than getting a good roll and raking in the mats.

There's an easy fix to that. Just have the node spawn when you read the survey.

I.e., you travel to the survey spot. You read the top survey, the node spawns (or it's already there, if you've already opened the survey). You harvest it, you read the next survey, it respawns, you harvest it, and so on.

That way, the RNG should be different each time it respawns, but you're not wasting time travelling back and forth for no reason.

Also, let's say you have ten of them, and you feel like you only want to open two or three for whatever reason (bad luck, your kid is screaming in the next room, someone is knocking at your door, you're bored, whatever), you can choose to stop and come back another time. Conversely, if you feel like knocking out all ten at once, you can. It hands the control back to the player.

I would love this. It doesn't be have to be like:
    Harvest*RNGforDoubleLoot*NumberOfSurveys.

    It can be like this:
    Loop NumberOfSurveys (Harvest*RNGforDoubleLoot).

This way you imitate usual harvesting. For those concerned about performance, I highly doubt that this can be more demanding than people riding around trying to reset nodes.
I'm done with this game because of ZOS pushing us into Vengeance, because they don't know how to fix Cyrodiil.

It seems unnecessarily tedious to harvest, mount, ride an undefined distance, return, dismount, and harvest again. Especially if you have 6-8 surveys at the same location. With all the events and new content, it's easy for the crafting surveys to accumulate, I'd like an option to combine multiple surveys so they are harvested all at once, or as suggested above, have the nodes reappear immediately. ESO should be fun, not boring and repetitive.

I agree that auto-respawn would also be a delightful solution! And maybe even better than single pass. :)

We could have functioning mine/garden/lumber mill etc. in our homes or simply let our characters or companions gather them when we are not using them/are offline, that would be cool and useful feature for companions if you ask me and/or for homes. But ZOS will not do anything like it because surveys are for 1 purpose only: to make it seem as if the game world is full of players running around.

While this would be great for almost all the resources, alchemy would have to work differently because there are different plants spawned for each survey.

Easier for you maybe... but you haven't seen my inventory! Finding anything in there is a somewhat lengthy process! ;)

Not saying its a bad idea, but honestly, it is probably quicker for me to summon my horse, ride around the closest rock and harvest the respawn. I would be all on board with a simple instant respawn though, all they have to do is lower the range you need to travel to trigger it, like walk 5-10' away.
