Destruction Incarnate/Arox

During the Destruction Incarnate quest, I am letting Arox out of his cage and I am not getting the option to speak with him. I cannot advance the quest. He moves behind the cage, there is no marker over his head and I cannot interact with him. I’ve tried abandoning quest and doing it again as well as reloading UI. Xbox, NA

This just happened to me as well. I was in a group.

Edit: I logged out and back in and it solved the issue.

Also happened on PS4. Relog allowed the conversation.

I wound up doing a hard reset and this seemed to fix the issue. Odd.

This is still an issue. While I was standing trying to talk to Arox, two other players came through and did successfully talk to them. Like the others, re-logging in fixed it.

The issue described in the OP also occurred with my character. I simply could not obtain an Interactive Prompt for Arox, who was located behind and to the left of the cage from which he exited. For a while I suspected that the Interactive Prompts for Bastian Hallix and/or for Lyranth, respectively, interfered with my ability to obtain an Interactive Prompt for Arox.

However, after logging-in to this forum, finding the OP, and reading the preceding messages, I logged out of the character and selected him as the one to play again. After the character was loaded, Arox was in front of his open cage and my character could dialogue with him to continue the quest.

IMHO, ZOS must fix this game client crash ASAP. Players should never be expected to re-log their character to resolve an issue, if only because re-logging the character is unlikely to resolve the issue for each and every player who encounters it.

I've had the same issue letting Arox out of the cage but solved it by relogging. Then, following up, I went back to the top floor of the House of Whims to find Lyranth, the Anchorite and Arox.

I'm supposed to talk to Arox. The last thing the Anchorite says is: "That daedrat ... talks?" and then I'm stuck. There's no option to talk to the rat.

I've tried logging in and out, reloading ui, skipping zones and porting back in, abandoning the quest and picking it up again. I'm getting stuck at the same point and cannot progress.

This was on NA. I've completed the quest on EU at the beginning of the year before - no problem.

Any ideas? Cheers in advance!

Sorry to dig out an old thread, but I'm facing the exact same bug and I'm completely out of ideas now. Arox always only runs partway through the room and therefore can’t be interacted with. I tried relogging (like 30 times), reloading UI, leaving the building and re-entering, porting to another zone and returning, even abandoning the quest and completely redoing it. I’ve also disabled all addons and dismissed companions and combat pets. Nothing works, he always runs only partway through the room and gets stuck.

I'm also experiencing this bug on PC-NA. I ran into it when I released him from the cage, and relogging fixed it. However, now I'm supposed to talk to him in the House of Whims and he keeps stopping partway through the room. No interaction prompt appears. I've relogged, restarted the game, turned addons off, etc. Nothing seems to fix this.

This is especially frustrating since this quest is required for the Hero of Fargrave achievement to improve drop chances for the Nokvroz Sword style page, which is only available during the Anniversary Jubilee.
