What ever happened to the free deadlands from Blackwood pathfinder achievement event?

Like the title says.
I had finished the pathfinder achievement during that event back in October. But I still didn't get deadlands.
What's that about?

The quest starter?

I claimed/started something before I started the pathfinder achievement.

I assume it was like the Summerset pathfinder event where you got the free house and mount.
It just shows up. I bought Blackwood and did the achievement like everybody else. I shouldn't have to jump through a redundant hoop.

You needed to claim the reward from the Crown Store during the time it was in there. If you did, you'd have Deadlands automatically applied and a cascading box of rewards in your inventory. It was not handled out automatically, similar to how Elsweyr required you to get the rewards, IIRC.

If you've missed it, you can ask Support about it. I think I saw a thread where someone asked and Support said no. But its always worth a shot!

After the pathfinder event, there was a limited time item that needed to be claimed in the Crown Store. It was no cost.

You can try opening a ticket with Customer Support, if you did not do this, and see if they will award it to you.

Er, no. The free Deadlands thing was something you had to claim from the crown store in the 12 (I think) days after the event ended.

There was a reward in the crown store after the bounties of blackwood event ended with all the rewards that were listed. You had to go to the crown store and "purchase" (it was free) it, that put a crate to open that led to another crate and so on. I believe the deadlands was in the last crate, but I could be remembering wrong.

Yeah, I thought it was handled very stupidly. It should have showed up when you first logged in as a huge placard announcement like the daily rewards so it couldn't be missed....

Probably because they only wanted to reward active players with the reward and having a claim step ensured that. Rather than someone who hasn't played in months getting the reward when they finally log in again next year.

Maybe I am mistaken, but pretty sure I saw a huge announcement about claiming it when it was completed. Is this the first time you have logged in since the event?

You had until October 22 to pick it up in-game from the crown store, it was free and came with 6 goody boxes.

They should really just add the free content to your account, as long as you've unlocked the required achievement during the event's time period, instead of throwing it in the Crown Store to claim honestly.

Several people didn't know they had to claim it through the Crown Store.
Also, when it was in the Crown Store it was crammed waaaay down below a lot of other items being featured above it for some reason instead of it being at the top in everyone's face.

It's been this way since Elysweyr. It's so people who happened to get pathfinder before the event can't login and get it months later, I'm guessing.

It is probably tied to the in-game achievement and they want to limit the free stuff to the people who had the achievement at the time, not everyone who gets it from now on.

It's also much more taxing to add to each account that qualifies VS just putting it in the crown store once and having folks buy it.

NOW they could have made it last longer or showcase it better, but eh

The reward wasn’t dependent upon having the pathfinder achievement. You could literally do nothing in game besides own Blackwood, and you were eligible to claim the prizes. But I think your overall point is the gist of it.
