Can any one who got the lead tell if they did it on veteran on normal ? The rng is so bad that I am suspecting that it may still be bugged and only veteran mode was fixed.
It did drop in normal mode for a friend. Not for me though, but I was in the group and can confirm that it does drop. But my guess would be that the chance to get it from higher difficulty chests is higher, and since vet usually has more advanced and master chests, the drop rate is probably better there.
Still not sure what they were thinking, putting a lead in a DLC dungeon that can't be soloed well and giving it only one or two opportunities to drop. This is going to be frustrating as hell, especially once everyone has all the gear and there is no longer any need to farm the dungeon. And even then, finding groups willing to check all the corners for chests is a rare occurrence.Edited by Nelyawyn on November 17, 2021 12:14AM0 -

I was farming the dungeon today with some guildmates. All 4 of us eventually got the lead. We did about 12 runs on normal and one run on veteran. Most of the runs were with both chests found. 3 of the players got the lead in the first 12 normal runs and I received it on the vet run we did a bit later.Edited by redspecter23 on November 17, 2021 12:55AM0 -
Naftal✭✭✭✭✭If you're just farming falkreath chests, you should reset before doing third boss. Most of the chest spawn locations are before that.
I opened 60+ chests and saw other people looting at least as many times without a lead. Then I thought what if I can't get the lead by forcing the lock. I picked the next lock normally and got the lead instantly.
This is of course anecdotal, but something people might want to test out while farming it.2 -

✭I solo farmed pillar of nirn over the last 2 weeks, so yes it's fine to do this dungeon solo. I went back in for the lead and got it on my second run 1st chest. Everything is on normal. I don't know if stamblades can solo this vet, but I doubt it.0 -

Using the addon "loot log" I have seen many of players in group while running Falkreath get the lead on normal. Tried jumping on another toon also, running around 20 times to no avail.
I'm going to wait for the dailies to reset, then get back to grinding. I'll let you know if & when I get it.

tim77✭✭✭✭It has a horrible droprate. Had some painful grinds in the past but this is on top.
Even completed stickerbook for that dungeon during the runs, having not much in the beginning (apart from monsterset)... but no lead.
Also just saw it once dropping for teammates duing all these runs! He said it was 5 or 6 runs for him.
Honestly, is there still something wrong with Crimson Diamond lead?

Searing Gem dropped from a deadrat. Deadrats are wandering around in the deadlands. They die with a light attack.
Crimson Diamond dropped in Normal Falkreath from a treasure chest.

✭So i returned to falkreath after curated drops dropped to get something i have been grinding HARD for for quite a while now, and got the item i needed which proved that curated drops works.
However, during that 1st post-curated drops run, I also randomly got the Crimson Diamond lead from a simple chest.
Have I been lucky?0 -

✭✭✭✭From reading the accounts of players in this thread it looks like the lead may have similar drop chances as the ones that drop from overland chests (Gold Coast, Coldharbour) which is... not ideal.
Oh well, at least I can solo Falkreath and sneak past most trash packs. Could be worse i guess, could have been one of the dungeons that cannot be soloed (or at least not soloed consistently) due to mechanics.0 -

i got my Crimson Diamond in group today.
30 solo,nothing. second group run,i got it.
maybe the chance is too low in solo.
group/ vet /intermediate chest /not force picklock
same as other player, 3 teammates got their lead at same time from one same chest(4 player group)

Feaky✭✭✭I filled my sticker books for all set pieces in FR and still didn't get the Crimson Diamond Lead. I know when to cut my losses. Bad RNG, broken game, whatever, just not worth running several times a day any more.0
