Ok Hi, so yes this isn't exactly ESO related, but is elder scrolls related and Microsoft purchase of ZOS related. So we all know and remember a while back Microsoft to Purchase ZOS and this took place and we we're all worried ESO would become a windows based game, The ZOS manager assured us nothing would change and they would still have control of their game and or games.
Today I just found out that it's being suggested that The Elder Scrolls 6 All But Confirmed to Be an Xbox Exclusive, not only suggested, but IGN is confirming.
I do not have any consoles. Period. My history and I will make a long story short and why I'm concerned , frustrated, and upset about this.
1. I have had all the hard physical copies of elder scrolls since right up to Oblivion.
2. I Purchased a physical copy of Skyrim, but found out I could not play it, unless I downloaded and used 3rd party Steam.
3. Since then that one game cost me over 10,000 plus games on steam I randomly purchased and I was only there for Skyrim.
4. ESO came out. Nuff said. Still on steam.
5, Now ES 6 is coming, and I'm not even going to have the chance to play it, because MICROSOFT finally dug that last 6 inch fingernail into the backs at ZOS yet again taking superiority on the gaming field.
Is this sadness really true? Will is be exclusive only for the release later to then become available on other platforms and especially PC? Because if it is truly exclusive to 1 console, then for me, this game , and it's world, just died, a sad, burning, horrible death.

It's obviously not gonna happen because pc is their main market and modding community (not creation club) is what keeps their games alive. Can't believe there's enough people who would buy console just for this title, especially when hate for consoles comes from downgrades and lesser quality overall for pc games.
Too early to really worry about it. Last I heard it will probably not come out until 2024-2026 which is a long time in video games time frame. Plus considering all the many times and ways Skyrim has been released I can't see it ever being only one platform. Sure, probably exclusive for a period but I am sure if it is any good it will be released everywhere. After all money is money.
Stay safe

No they wont. PS has proven that exclusives make more money on both sales of the game and consoles. Microsoft has proven they can make a ton of sales by doing play anywhere. You can play with Gamepass their games on Xbox, PC and play from the cloud on any device, like an Android tablet.
Sony fans yelled for years and years how PS was the better game console because it had Exclusives. MS played nice for many years but finally decided to play Sony's game and the first thing Sony fans say. But you will lose sales. Its a funny stance to take IMO.
Side note, Microsoft will be coming out with a Dongle for your TV, like a Chromecast or a Roku. So you will be able to play Xbox games with a low price point.
