A Change to companion gear

Make each item trait and its quality level be a token you can apply to that slot. So a Quickened Healing Staff drops blue quality, now your weapon slot on your companion, you can just select healing staff quickened fine quality. When you buy or get a drop for epic, you click the token and now you can on the companion equipment weapon slot, you can select healing staff epic level Quickened. This would remove these items from your inventory and ESO servers would not need to track as many items in your banks or mules. We could still sell the tokens on the market and people would buy more/gold sink, because we would want to collect all the traits for each companion and all their slots.

I like it, basically turn weapons (which take up inventory) into collectible slottables for your companions.

One of the huge issues I have with companion gear is the inventory bloat if you want to keep different loadouts. Coming right on the heels of the stickerbook felt very wrong and a step backward. Your solution is as good or better than any other. Lorewise, you could just assume your companions have a huge bag they keep all this stuff in. They aren't actually storing the gear itself, just the ability to slot it. You could then remove all the actual items and place them essentially in a collectible companion gear stickerbook for those that like to collect all the things.

Yes and do that for each equipment slot on the companion. I do agree it was a step back from the sticker book. Anything that makes inventory management easier and lowers the amount the server needs to store, is just a good thing.

Anything to reduce the inventory (and time) bloat of Companion Gear is a positive.

With the added Armory System having up to 8 more sets on a char and Companions added as well. I'm not sure how to take advantage of both systems without more inventory space or a new way to handle the added items.

That would be a good idea.

I have an idea too.. What about making the companion gear have its own unlimited bag for ESO+? It would work just like the crafting bag.

    I could live with that.
