6 hours maintanace is not long enough
To be fair, this time are both PC servers down.
In the past it was only case of PC/EU

Is it possible to have a better server? I don't know much about computers so I don't even know where servers are even kept. I imagine a supercooled run with lots of fans running and a bunch of super computers in the background.1 -

It's not exactly a single server or machine. It's a "farm" of machines most likely, and sure you can have a better server - if you're willing to pay a premium for it. Now, I'm not sure if the servers have migrated to Microsoft's platforms since the purchase of ZOS by MS; at the point I started playing over 3 years ago, the servers were platformed on Amazon Web Services IIRC.0 -

Followed by taking the PC/EU server down for maintenance a couple of hours later due to some players experiencing difficulties logging in aka hamsters going (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ and everyone being unceremoniously booted.

Its good to see the hardware for once, I remember seeing servers in rows in old films from 20 years ago they had lots of lights too although I guess the lights flash a bit more quickly these days and hopefully there isn't showers of sparks coming out of these servers like those in the old films Edited by Onigar on November 15, 2021 3:29PM2 -

It's really daunting to think that all those lights blinking on a computer meant something was going on in the background 0.0 don't know what they're doing but it's a lot of blinking0 -

Yes we want 24h maintenance minimum on EU,plus we want to see our server to be even laggier than before after maintenance and we want a 30 min loging queue.Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
