Plaza of Portals needs some portals!

I love the idea of Fargrave being this nexus between many worlds, it makes this city something really amazing. But as it stands, there aren't a lot of portals.

Obviously they can't put portals to places we are yet to explore, but there are still a few places we've already visited - it would be awesome if we could get portals to those places in the Plaza of Portals. Coldharbour and Clockwork City stand out as good examples of extra-planar locales we should be able to portal to, but there may be more.

Please make the Plaza of Portals worthy of its name!

Agree on coldharbor, not so much for CWC, don't think Sotha Sil would allow it, more practical it being an DLC so not all have it. I would throw in some extra to relevant places just for immersion.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

When I first heard of the area I expected giant archways, one for each prince, and they all had their own unique style. If you unlocked Coldharbour that archway would be active and obviously the Deadlands one would be active, while the rest would be inactive (subtle way of promising players the opportunity to one day fully explore these planes of oblivion).

When I finally saw the area for myself, I was quite disappointed... If anything the dreaming cave in Artaeum was a much more interesting way of granting players access to other planes of oblivion.

    Favorite Foods and Potions
    https://media.giphy.com/media/3otPoTggaYFNd1FdAI/giphy.gif
    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

I agree. Two portals to the same realm (and one to Leyawiin) do not a "Plaza of Portals" make.

Excuse my French but how the [snip] did we end up at Fargrave in the first place? Clockwork City had an awesome story how we "get there". Fargrave we travel to it's wayshrine that we somehow already have...

This made me basically "hate" this so called RP... dlc. Never have I've been more disappointed in an introduction to a new "mystical" realm... Imagine opening of the dark portal in wow and somehow on release you're already inside... It's like these crappy new movies where they skip character development and jump you straight into action...

Yes, that confused me too. When I got ready to play it, on day one, I said to myself, “Okay, how do I get there? Do I have to talk to one of the NPCS, do I have to find a portal in Blackwood?” Nope, nothing like that, just open your map and teleport to the Wayshrine like you have psychic powers and knew it was there all along! Then when you do get there, you have no idea where you are and are met by a completely new character whom you’ve never met, who clues you in.

I enjoyed the dlc, but, yeah, the intro could’ve been a lot more organic and done better.

I refused to use the wayshrine and the intro quest has you travel to Greenshade. Near the city is a cave with an old man guarding it. He allows you to enter the portal to Fargrave, but even then it still feels kinda cheap. No perilous path or anything like that. Just a portal in a jungle in a suspicious cave.

Aso, they could make portals to other oblivion realms we've visited besides coldharbour, like the evergloam for eg., though since they usually only appear in pocket zones connected to quests, I'm not sure how they'd deal with that, since they'd have to make more content... but it would be cool nontheless.

I also misread "plaza" as "pizza" -- I am very tired and probably very hungry, clearly.

The pizza of portals, rumored to have the power to teleport you to the realm of different pizza flavors with every slice. You never know where you'll end up. Though be warned traveler, for if you grow too curious, anchovies might lurk on the other side of the next plane!

And here everyone in Tamriel was thinking that extra cheese was a good thing to find on a pizza, until the Pizza of Portals revealed that all orders with extra cheese come from the realm of Sheogorath himself.

(In all serious though, I too hope this place becomes a hub to portal to different planes of oblivion, perhaps sections more expansive than what we've been given in this DLC. Honestly, I would have loved it if Fargrave had been more open world...I'm longing to get out into that desert, its gorgeous.)

I don’t think Bastian would like that, he hates cheese. 😄

Anyone for for Torchbug and Butterfly pizza?

Well, he did ask me if I was going to eat a spider once. :p

It's explained in the prologue quests:

    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:An_Apocalyptic_Situation
    https://en.uesp.net/wiki/Online:The_Key_and_the_Cataclyst

Yeah, I played those and don’t recall anything from them explaining how to get to Fargrave.
The dimensional key you find drops you in Fargrave, and the reasons for choosing Fargrave as a foothold from which to attack Nirn and possibly other planes are explained. You use the same dimensional key to get into Deadlight later in the story, only that time you know where you'll be going.

Okay, that's just a preview of what's to come. And, it tells you where you are, but it doesn't really give you a complete look at it. It's just a blink and you'll miss it glimpse.

And, as usual the writing for the actual Deadlands DLC makes it like your character is clueless and doesn't remember anything, or what is going on.

At no point after the prologue do you have anything on your person to get to Fargrave, nor do you have Lyranth or anyone else to speak to on how to get there or anything to remind you or direct you otherwise.

You are just supposed to open your map and go there.

I don't expect more hand holding, or any hand holding, but frankly, it's bad writing.
