Clear information about damage done per type is needed

MorkovkaUltimate
Hey everyone,

Since there are lots of CP skills, sets, etc. which depend from or affect particular damage types, it is very important to:
1. Clearly state damage type done by each weapon, enchantment, skill, etc. Everything that might generate some damage should be clarified
2. Add this information to the DPS report after hitting dummies

Right now it is not clear which types of damage are generated, e.g. are pets considered as a DoT skill damage just with ability to run around? or are their attacks are counted independently based on their nature, e.g. regular attack of scamp is a direct damage and his special activation is the DoT, etc.

It is also very difficult to find out which % of damage done was generated by which type of damage. I can put simplest skills on the panel where it is easy to guess the type of damage they generate, but it will be still difficult to see clear numbers per type at the end of the fight/parse, even Combat Metrics doesn't clearly state damage done per type and not per skill.

I think that ideal summary of battle data would be something like that:
100 mln damage done total including
70 mln direct damage
30 mln DoT damage
60 mln single target damage
40 mln AOE damage
30 mln electric damage
40 mln poision damage, etc.
There first 5 rows are more important because these types of damages are very common in different sets and skills descriptions, other are good to have too.
This is important to make smart decisions about using suitable for your build sets and skills.

Please let me know what you think about it and also tell me if there are already some add-ons or ways to easily check these details without going into manual studying of each hit in battle logs

A short addition to my post above:
Sets should also state sources of damage which are counted towards set's conditions.

E.g. Scathing Mage set has a direct damage requirement. Pets (scamp and tormentor) seems to generate direct damage with their base attacks (white/yellow crit numbers appearing), but Scathing mage in my test couldn't generate any single buff proc from pets attacks in around 15 minutes. My guess is that there is a filter that only your personal direct damage is counted and not your pets, which is very important information and I am not sure why such condition exists at all, since pets are just skills as others and should work as well.

On opposite, Hunting curse which has a time condition in it, is counted as a Direct Damage and not DoT, it can also proc Scathing Mage buff.

So, additional information is required in both skills and sets description which will clearly state how it works
