When I first heard of the area I expected giant archways, one for each prince, and they all had their own unique style. If you unlocked Coldharbour that archway would be active and obviously the Deadlands one would be active, while the rest would be inactive (subtle way of promising players the opportunity to one day fully explore these planes of oblivion).
When I finally saw the area for myself, I was quite disappointed... If anything the dreaming cave in Artaeum was a much more interesting way of granting players access to other planes of oblivion.

Can't argue with this but it would be nice to have a few more portals.

I never expected portals to anywhere but the Deadlands, and found Leyawiin a pleasant, yet completely logical, surprise. It would not make sense for it to be a hub to all the other zones.

This made me basically "hate" this so called RP... dlc. Never have I've been more disappointed in an introduction to a new "mystical" realm... Imagine opening of the dark portal in wow and somehow on release you're already inside... It's like these crappy new movies where they skip character development and jump you straight into action...

I also misread "plaza" as "pizza" -- I am very tired and probably very hungry, clearly.

Yes, that confused me too. When I got ready to play it, on day one, I said to myself, “Okay, how do I get there? Do I have to talk to one of the NPCS, do I have to find a portal in Blackwood?” Nope, nothing like that, just open your map and teleport to the Wayshrine like you have psychic powers and knew it was there all along! Then when you do get there, you have no idea where you are and are met by a completely new character whom you’ve never met, who clues you in.
I enjoyed the dlc, but, yeah, the intro could’ve been a lot more organic and done better.

The pizza of portals, rumored to have the power to teleport you to the realm of different pizza flavors with every slice. You never know where you'll end up. Though be warned traveler, for if you grow too curious, anchovies might lurk on the other side of the next plane!
And here everyone in Tamriel was thinking that extra cheese was a good thing to find on a pizza, until the Pizza of Portals revealed that all orders with extra cheese come from the realm of Sheogorath himself.
(In all serious though, I too hope this place becomes a hub to portal to different planes of oblivion, perhaps sections more expansive than what we've been given in this DLC. Honestly, I would have loved it if Fargrave had been more open world...I'm longing to get out into that desert, its gorgeous.)
Supreme_Atromancer wrote: »I love the idea of Fargrave being this nexus between many worlds, it makes this city something really amazing. But as it stands, there aren't a lot of portals.
Obviously they can't put portals to places we are yet to explore, but there are still a few places we've already visited - it would be awesome if we could get portals to those places in the Plaza of Portals. Coldharbour and Clockwork City stand out as good examples of extra-planar locales we should be able to portal to, but there may be more.
Please make the Plaza of Portals worthy of its name!

I don’t think Bastian would like that, he hates cheese. 😄

Anyone for for Torchbug and Butterfly pizza?

Yeah, I played those and don’t recall anything from them explaining how to get to Fargrave.

Yeah, I played those and don’t recall anything from them explaining how to get to Fargrave. The dimensional key you find drops you in Fargrave, and the reasons for choosing Fargrave as a foothold from which to attack Nirn and possibly other planes are explained. You use the same dimensional key to get into Deadlight later in the story, only that time you know where you'll be going.
