    Favorite Foods and Potions

    • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
    • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
    • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
    • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

You can see (& hear) active dolmens a long way off anyways.
Usually in Cyrodiil it just means that a player has ridden past the dolmen close enough to activate it.
So I don't see a problem with the activated dolmens being shown on the map.

I would like an indacation of what dolman is active and what one is up next. This would be most helpful in zones that dolmens are not done often. This would make it worth more farming Dolmen in other zones.

It does show which one is going to be active next in the cycle even before someone has made the approach to activate the cultists, at least half the time anyway.

The next active dolmen is whichever is approached first when they are off cooldown. If nobody gets close to it, it won't activate.

About a month ago, I was feeling upset at players who come up after I've soloed 99% of a dolmen, take a whack at the final boss, and then hit the last pinion at the end of the fight before I can, because I was under the impression that this gives them the credit for shutting down the dolmen.

I've since come to realize-- by carefully monitoring the progress numbers on the pertinent Achievement-- that everybody who gets to loot the chest also gets credit for shutting down the dolmen, whether or not they're the one who hit the last pinion.

But this was before I came to that realization, and I was feeling self-righteously indignant over not being able to hit the last pinion on a dolmen that I'd just soloed 99% of, so I took my little red wagon with my bag of marbles in it and went stomping angrily off to Cyrodiil to solo dolmens there.

On two of the dolmens I was doing, an enemy player came up while I was fighting the insurgents and helped me finish them off without attacking me. Then we each looted the chest and went our separate ways. It made me feel a whole lot better. :)

It's fine, I spend a lot of time in Cyro and never pay attention to this. Dolmens are simply not relevant for me when I PvP, maaaaybe the Bruma one if there is a proper fight around it but that's it. It never happens unless Bruma is on fire tho.

I've completed a couple of dolmens in cyrodiil with 'enemy' players. It was awesome, just had to be mindful of my shot placement.

Have been ganked as well, but that's the risk.

Imperial City bosses are less likely to be shared by opposite groups.

Yes, leveled rapport on Mirri and found that it indeed indicates next active, not that its in combat.
Its very nice on some of the more award maps with dolmens way from wayshrines but you need to do them for the fighter guild quest.
Grinding just make you go in circles.

You don't even need to loot the chest to get credit. You just have to hit something.

Pinions only count for the 100 pinion achievement, and for that, any of the 5 pinions count.

There are always dolmens up in Cyrodiil. Doesn't mean anyone is actually fighting them. I frequently see active dolmens with worm cult NPCs that have no players attacking them. So if your goal is to go to active dolmen and gank enemy players while they are distracted by enemy mobs, you may be disappointed.

Yes, I know that you get credit as soon as the final pinion goes back into the ground, whether or not you loot the chest. I was simply refering to the chest as an indicator of whether or not you got credit for participating in shutting down the dolmen. In other words, if you rush up to a dolmen just as the fight with the final boss is ending and try desperately to get in a quick hit in so you'll get credit, but then you don't get looting privileges on the chest, you know you didn't get a hit in.

Oh, there are multiple achievements? I guess I'll have to monitor the before-and-after numbers on that achievement while testing different scenarios-- participate in a dolmen fight but don't hit any pinions, participate and hit 1 pinion but not the final pinion, and participate and hit the final pinion. The last scenario might be nearly impossible to test, except maybe by going to Cyrodiil to solo a dolmen, but it might not be needed based on the results of the second test.

I can't check the Chainbreaker achievement right now that you get for 100 pinions, because I completed it early last year, so I'll have to test it later on one of my daily crafting alts.

But the Anchor Devastator achievement that you get for 250 dark anchors doesn't require hitting any of the pinions.
