Weighted RNG No Longer Functioning in Arx Corinium

Bug is in the title.

My sticker book currently only has one piece of the Lamia's set remaining (Battle Axe) and the last two runs have given me repeated drops of Lamia's Resto and Ice Staff. Neither of the drops are named/unique drops.

I've got to halt farming until this is resolved as otherwise I'm just wasting my time.

This bug is not happening only in Arx Corinium. Very often I run dungeons without new drops at all, and I am far from finish my collectibles. This new system is not working very well. A fix is really needed.

It's working too well in Overland Delves and Public Dungeons, I'm getting 3-5 duplicates of the same items not collected in a single pass.

Ok so let's summarize this curation situation even more simply:

1.) If you are starting a dungeon for the FIRST TIME EVER! You'll have 0% of the equipment collected for the dungeon. It is best to group up to get started on collecting gear pieces.

2.) If you have 80% of the gear for the dungeon already, grouping with 3 other players who have 0% of the collected gear, will likely result in YOU getting pieces they need.

3.) If you SOLO a normal dungeon on your own, looking for the "last pieces" of a set, you have the best chance of getting those needed pieces (if you can solo group dungeons/trials).

4.) Named pieces are outliers and may still drop, regardless of what anyone needs.

So I see more players starting to run dungeons solo to farm gear now, or at least group with people who have most of the gear and plan for pieces to give each other if they drop.

Alright, this isn't that bad honestly. It's still likely SOMEWHAT better than what we had before.

Did you bind the dropped items immediately when they dropped?

I'm pretty sure it's related of being in a group.

It works perfect when i run solo, (dungeons, worldboss, arenas...) but as soon as i'm grouped and e.g. run a dungeon, it just drops half of the runs a new item, sometimes less than half the runs.

Just a question: Are you solo farming Arx Corinium, or are you using dungeon finder ?

The only instance I got duplicate items in Arx Corinium was in case of named items. When RNG decides to drop those - it ignores your item set collection.

Other than that the system worked flawlessly for me. I solo farmed Arx Corinium and after a week (25 runs) I got all missing items.

Maybe it has something to do with a group ? Because items are tradeable within group ? So the system gives you a duplicate, because someone else in your group does not have it in their collection ? Idk.

While in a group, I also got an already collected, non-named drop from a run in Arx. Aside from a few named drops coming up it was consistent most of the time however but not sure why in that instance it failed.

I've run 4 dungeons since the patch/upgrade but I've only gotten an uncollected set piece in one of them, even though I was missing numerous set items in each dungeon

I've run a couple hundred dungeons over the past week, some solo, some in a group and have encountered 2 different issues. As mentioned, any named set items are not rerolled. If you pull a named item, it doesn't even check if you need it or not. You're stuck with it.

On only a single dungeon run, Black Drake Villa on normal, I pulled a legitimate duplicate when I should not have. I only needed 1 item, a Maul of Drake's Rush. Every other set was full. On the end boss, I pulled a Lightning Staff of True Sworn Fury as my weapon. I already had that in my stickerbook. On the very next run, I did pull the maul that I was missing, but I can confirm that there is at least a small % chance that you will legitimately get a duplicate outside of the named set item situation. It's possible that there is a limit on the number of rerolls for performance reasons? Maybe you get 100 rerolls and then you just get what you get if it can't "find" the item you're missing. This could be an issue you see very occasionally the closer you get to a full list in any given set.

There are other issues noted elsewhere with things like the Craglorn trials sets as well. It appears that it rolls on a major/minor set first then rerolls your item against the stickerbook. So if you only need Infallable Aether, but it rolls on the minor set pool of items you already have, you get a duplicate. That's just speculation. It's hard to say for sure without more data.
