Hey folks,
Could someone clearly explain how the curated drops system works now?
I am an but confused, since I read somewhere that items you already have in your sticker book will be removed from you're drop table. But I also have read that when you are in an group it looks to the groups sticker book.

If the last thing is true it would make sense that in my last run if black drake villa, I only got stuff I already had, ( only need the weapons, and all that dropped was gear and the only weapon I have from it )

Could someone make it clear for me ?

If it indeed looks at the groups sticker book, it is essentially the same system unless you run solo?...

    It does not look at the group stickerbook, just yours.

    It will not change the potential loot table. If a particular boss normally only drops weapons and jewelry, it will still only pull from that loot table, even if you have all the weapons and jewels but are still missing a belt.

    There are some bugs in the system still. Named set items appear to not be rerolled if you pull them. If you have a medusa sword already, but you're still missing the flame staff, you can potentially pull the named medusa sword from the end boss in Arx Corinium.

    I have seen at least a few instances of players pulling shields they already have from dungeon end bosses, even when they still need weapons that can potentially drop. I don't have too much more info on that one.

    There are likely a few more bugs that will hopefully be sorted out soon, but that's the basics of it.

    I missed the thing about the bosses with their own drop table, so if I got all the stuff that boss drops it goes back to normal rng right?

    That explains a lot already haha :pensive:p
    Also I read, that with the curated drop system, the more often you run an dungeon, the higher the change become to drop something you don't have? Is that true?

    i'm also curious to how this curated drop works. i was doing wgt dungeon and was just trying to complete the sticker book for this dungeon. i already have all 3 sets armor and jewelry. just missing weapons from those sets. so far done like 10 times and it drops the weapons that i dont have which is great.

    i still have weapons missing but then on my last run the final boss dropped me an spc ring which i already owned and bound and in my sticker book. so is it a bug or is it intended? like is it a separate pool for jewelry and weapons from final boss?

    I guess its not working 100% for the time, but it's soooooooooooooo much better. Just saying. I might have an interesting example:

    I was missing ONE piece in CoM, a "Rattlecage Axe" for month. After the patch it was the first thing i did. I ran it with a mate, so 2 people in group, porting in manually.
    At the final boss, i got a "Wormcult Icestuff", which i already had collected of course. My mate also got "Wormcult Icestuff". He was missing it in collection yet.
    I was very confused. But we ended up with running again. In this run i got the last missing item, the Rattlecage Axe.
    Too happy to ask questions about.

    So there might be something off, because the first drop was a already collected weapon. It can't be explained with "first deceides what type of drop, and looks only within the range of that type (like bodyparts or weapon or jewelry) for missing ones.
    But hey, i dont judge. I'm so happy with the new system. I ran that dungeon for hundreds of time before. Even started thinking it's bugged, but i saw it one or two times during the runs that it dropped for others. So 2 runs is just nothing.
    However it might be annoying when it comes to perfected gear.
    I also completed new area weapons, just standing at one boss and killing it until set stickerbook was completed. Toward the end i got occationally already collected pieces (+already bound!) but it was not too bad. Maybe 10-15 in the end, of which about 50% (to 75% maybe) i forgot to bind, so it dropped again :D Most of the other cases i got legs or chests instead of a missing weapon.

    From my experience, the curated system means you continue to get drops you already have. I did post in Bug Reports.
