Volcanic Rune Invisible with Bow Equipped (Video)

First, I did place an in game bug report but never received any response. @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_BrianWheeler

The ground visual effect for Volcanic Rune, denoting its location, is almost always missing (see the three exceptions below) when cast while having my bow of agility equipped (tested with a different bow and the bug still persists). I can reproduce this bug EVERY time with the bow equipped. This bug does NOT occur with other weapons that I have tested (staff/axe).

Casting Volcanic Rune with the bow "shealthed" will produce the ground visual effect. Casting the Rune twice (in quick succession) will produce the visual effect although cost twice as much. Also, if fast enough, casting the Rune right after weapon swapping will produce the visual effect (you must be very fast though).

Any cast of Volcanic Rune with the bow at the ready results in the Rune working but no ground visual effect denoting the Rune location. As previously stated, I can reproduce this bug EVERY SINGLE TIME.

NOTES: I have ground abilities set to "ON" so that I do not need to double click.

** After additional testing seems it seem to be an issue with the timing of the targeting circle. I have found that if I cast another ability prior to casting the Volcanic Rune (and if fast enough), the targeting circle for the Rune displays at full size until the prior ability animation completes. This results in seeing the ground visual effect. With a bow equipped and readied, the targeting circle for volcanic Rune is briefly displayed at about half (to a quarter) the normal size, resulting in no ground visual effect.

    Due to lack of response from ZOS, I will classify this as a game feature and not a game bug. As such this thread can be closed.

    I have opened a thread in the addon section, asking for an addon that will denote the location of Volcanic Rune while having a bow equipped and readied. If no addon can be made for this I will look at using a different ability until ZOS allows the use of Volcanic Rune with a bow.

    On a side note, does anyone know which Class/Guild/World abilities work with which weapons? Or more to the point, which Class/Guild/World abilities do NOT work with certain weapons? I thought that any non-weapon specific ability would work correctly with any weapon. The video shows that this is not the case.

    I am open to changing my build but at this point I would like to know which Class/Guild/World abilities are NOT meant work correctly when paired with certain weapons.

    Given the time frame and lack of basic acknowledgement of this bug, I still do NOT expect any resolution from ZOS. That said, an update to this bug.

    Not only can I not see any visual effects, other players cannot see the location of the Rune either. This makes a basic strategy of herding enemies to the location of the Rune impossible as others do not even know that the Rune exists. Although I primarily play in Cyrodiil, this does exist during PvE play as well.

    As mentioned prior, this bug can be repeated over and over and over again. Actually, trying to get the ability to work correctly is harder than getting the bug to show. Because of this fact, I have no idea how something this basic could have been overlooked. Even more baffling, given the video evidence and the very repeatable nature of this bug, is that this has NOT even been acknowledged as an issue.

    This entire thread is a prime example of why the forum seems to be used as a shoutbox for the devs to give their informations. I doubt any developer is actively browsing here. Otherwise the lack of a single response cannot really be explained.

    You are correct and unfortunately I no longer expect any response. It is just unfortunate that the ingame bug reports as well as the forum bug reports go completely ignored. (Well, almost...I have received emails blaming the players routers for the severe Cyrodiil lag as well as told to log out of the game for 15 minutes to fix the Cyrodiil "stuck in combat" bug. Like seriously?)

    Of course I have a vested interest in this particular case as it greatly affects my gameplay. The reason for continued information is that I would love to see ZOS have a game that performs as expected with ALL features working. Right now, all my efforts to help the Dev's identify and fix issues seem to be in vain.

    Casting Volcanic Rune with a bow equipped still does not produce any visual effects denoting its location on the ground. I have attempted to use the ingame /help and /bug reports (more times that I wish to count) and have been told that the information is not passed on to the Devs. These bug forums have also resulted in complete silence regarding this issue.

    I will again ask some very simple questions. Is this a known bug and will it be fixed at any time in the future? Am I doing something wrong in order to get the visual effects to work? Is this ability (and maybe other abilities) not meant to have full functionality with all weapon types?

    Honestly, the run around from the tickets and being ignored on the bug forums really makes for a frustrating and negative experience.

    Update 32: Fixed an issue where some abilities experienced erratic visual behavior when cast by female characters with a bow equipped.

    @ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom @ZOS_BrianWheeler I can confirm that the volcanic rune is now visible when using with a bow equipped on my female dark elf. Thank you so very, very much.

    P.S. An initial acknowledgement would have been nice so that I did not have to submit bug report after bug report regarding this issue.
