Very subjective post especially considering the fact that farming is becoming even easier next patch with smart loot drops. PvP already gives the most transmutation stones (10+ bag slots in my inventory is just 50/50 transmutation stones). The sticker book lets you craft gear you have already looted at one point in time with said stones. If you have a decent amount of AP and are mindful of what is being sold at The Golden Vendor, you can make a crazy amount of gold at a guild trader (use guild finder to join any random guild without weekly dues even if it is just to temporarily sell your stuff). Can also sell PvP motifs that you buy with AP. As long as there are new players coming into the game wanting to collect all the things there will be a market for these.
Can use the gold made from AP to buy ingredients and make your own potions/food. Hirelings passives can also help you get needed ingredients.
Based on the many posts on here and the game PvP streamers are currently streaming, many PvP players have flocked over to the new flavor of the month MMO. Cyrodiil population reflects this. However, despite this ESO still is one of the least grindy games I've ever played and this becomes even more true every time they release a quality of life patch (transmutation station, sticker book, and soon smart loot).
Of course, PvP concerns are still very valid. ZOS has not done much to incentivize players into popping into Cyrodiil and Imperial City, which only has a glorious population on multiple servers during events. Multi-threaded rendering was not the magic bullet that fixed Cyrodiil performance, even though it did make it a bit better in my experience. Performance issues aside where are the promised artifacts besides volendrung? Artifact achievements are a nice incentive, since it allows you to buy an artifact furnishing for your house with AP, which might encourage more pvers to pop into Cyrodiil. In general, ZOS needs to do more with Cyrodiil to get the population back up.
I agree. Some kind of arena system seems like the logical next step and if this could be done through the housing system that'd be great, especially if we could do group vs group duels as well, which is something many players have requested.Aardappelboom wrote: »I agree, the grind is kind of ok and is only getting better, being able to build using a wide array of sets and combination is part of the appeal but it's the lack of new content for PVP.
I think arena-like competitive PVP would be a nice addition for veteran PVP and a good thing for content creators and popularity.
I wouldn't mind Cyrodiil as is (minus the performance) but the score anw reward system and sense van of importance is lacking.
I wouldn't mind bigger, alliance wide rewards in accordance with a scoring system that somehow includes IC in some way.
