Gold Motifs Idea

I wish we could destroy gold motifs and get back gold mats, or at least a chance at getting a gold mat. Any gold mat. For instance, the Glenmoril and Grace Dancer style pages that are currently dropping. They aren't worth much in the guild trader, you can't bank them, and they clutter your inventory. Would be nice to get something back in return for a "rare" item.

I've just been destroying them, can't even give them away, bonedust on the other hand is a rare drop!

It is the Abundance of the Style Pages that is the biggest argument against converting to Gold Tempers.

The Style pages are kind of annoying in that we can't bank them so all of our Alts get cluttered. The Guild Store values do increase a few months after event, but you still have to carry the things. Banking them is probably the best option we can hope for.

How do you get materials from a piece of paper?

You can bank them but if you want to get rid of them offer them in chat or to guildmates. There is usually someone who can use them.

I often sell stuff like that for 1 gold in guilds without trader. It don't clog up the guild banks might enjoy some and if not I can simply pick up and copy paste DELETE over and over.

Well, if you can get a sword or suit of armor from killing a lion, I would wager you could get mats from paper.

I do the latter at this point, putting them in the guild bank if nobody wants them in the guild chat. But you can't put them in your own bank.

You literally can, it was changed a while ago. You can't bank runeboxes like Bonfire memento and such but style pages you absolutely can store in your own bank.

I'll likely stack them up and bank them for a few years. You never know when something that was near worthless will be worth a pile of gold like Hollowjack motifs or skeletal marionette parts. Before they were stackable, I would have just destroyed the whole pile of them. Which is what I'll do with all the extra Glenmoril maps. No stack, no keep.

Yep, and they stack now, too! One of the better small QOL improvements they made in the last few years, IMO.

I agree. We should be able to bank them as well as they are to abundant to have a value worthy of converting them to gold matts.

And here I thought by reading the title that it would be a suggestion for Master Crafters to create bound versions of Gold Tomes so othe characters could get these motifs without re-farming the chapters...
