The only loot I avoid in this game is food ingredients, and only when I don't have craft bag running.
Now, part of this may be because I'm on PC not console, so dealing with excess loot is as easy as right-click/send to Junk. If there's a stuff in a loot container I don't want (like the food in a Provisioner writ bag) I just grab the purple ingredients and send the whole bag to Junk. You can delete all of it by clicking X.
(seriously, that "Really? You call these treats?" cartoon doesn't resonate with me; those three players just sound obnoxious and whiny. The banner one is a bit cute, though - I've got 60 or so myself.)
Why would a max level want a CP160 training shield? To research on an alt, or to vendor for ~50g, or to decon for materials & style. No, I've never understood why anyone would leave greens in chests; not here, and not in WoW. It's loot, therefore it's useful.
while most of the plunder drops are garbage, I did get the momento, and enough parts to make the dog, so I'm happy!

I destroy mine. I seriously wish I could destroy 99% of the useless crap in the crates. A bunch of useless pets and corny body markings I will NEVER use. I'd love to destroy the crap rather than have it in my inventory knowing it will never see the light of day.
Now this might because training gear only boost your xp from kills, not from quest or random dungeon or BG.SeaGtGruff wrote: »Kiralyn2000 wrote: »It's odd. I've never felt that way about loot, in any game. Loot? Cool, it's all good. If nothing else, it's sold for gold.

I generally grab everything that's lootable, even the white-quality food and drinks and Alchemy potions that are sitting around on tables so I can sell them to my merchant assistant, or the trash gear that's worth 0 gold so I can deconstruct it for a really low chance to extract a few materials from it. The only times I don't loot everything is if I'm in a hurry due to time constraints, or have already maxed out my inventory and have nothing left that I can sell to my merchant assistant or deposit through my banking assistant. In the second case, I might try to make more room by destroying any trash gear I'd picked up.
As for the comic about the treats, I actually thought the characters were supposed to sound obnoxious and whiny-- that the comic was poking fun at the playerbase as much as at the game.
Regarding CP160 Training gear, I find it interesting that a lot of players will use XP-boosting scrolls, food and drink, or events to grind faster for more CP, but they balk at the idea of equipping CP160 Training gear for that same purpose. I mean, I doubt that I would do so, but that's because I almost never grind for XP anyway.
Would be nice to have 1 event in the year that rewards transmute crystals and gold mats. I would play the cheeks off that one.
Rest of the events. x2 xp is nice for leveling my alt server, but even that is almost done. So...
I dont really need more fishing bait, and having weird stuff in my inventory that i just have to sell to get gold, but which is really nothing but gold with a humorous twist is, fun at first (3 years ago).
Dremora Motif is beautiful, but i have had the complete thing since the first year. Come up with new motifs every year or so, that would be great!
REALLY WHAT IT BOILS DOWN TO:
Maybe 80% of your subscriber base are new people, but ONCE IN A WHILE do something that caters to the endgamers, or just the long-timers who have done the dam pig and pie quests (which were freaking AWESOME the FIRST time) and already have all the basic stuff.

Anniversary Jubilee might be your cup of tea. The gift boxes from doing daily quests have a small chance at dropping gold crafting mats like chromium plating. You can do up to 50 dailies a day per character.
As for transmute crystals, those are usually in the Undaunted Reward boxes during the Undaunted Event.
