My Bodyguard disappeared! (Phasing Question)

Quinz128ub17_ESO
Hey there. There's a case I have, where I have a low level character (Level 10 ATM) that is strictly for crafting. I cleared the starter zones and kept her there to craft and research while I actually play with my main. I realized I need more skillpoints, so instead of levelling her, I just hire a player (With either gold or crafted goods), to escort this character to skyshards in higher-level zones.

Well, I encountered an issue, now. On occasion, since they are Veteran Levels and I am still lowly 10, they have completed some of these zones and phase away from me, leaving my defenseless self in a place with things 10+ levels higher than me! We're even partied and this happened! Is there a way around this? Or am I screwed?

No way around it unless they do something about the phasing and grouping. With exception that you group with someone about same level and not completed the quests.

Lame,I was hoping or figuring there may be an option where you automatically phase within the 'leader's phase. Which would make sense, I've seen this happen in other games with instances...

You could try teleporting to that player. That has helped me a couple of times when I couldn't see the members of my group. It may not work in all situations, but it is worth a shot.

Issue is not that they are in different instance. Issue is that the veteran player has completed all the quests and cleared all the towns etc from hostiles. But when the low level player enters the whole town is filled with mobs which are hostile. Also they will appear invisible to each other as they are in different phases of the quest (one completed seeing peaceful town, other one not completed seeing hostile town).

That's right. It's not merely instancing, it's also that they have completed a section and it's 'affecting their world' so to speak.

I'm not talking about different instances. It can help with some phasing issues, like when you are grouped and someone vanishes and you can only see the arrows over their heads just floating around. Teleporting can sometimes fix that problem. As, I said, it may not work in all situations, as some changes are more extreme changes than others.

If it is a whole town change, it probably won't work while you are in that town, but when you move out of that town you will probably still be out of phase from each other and teleporting should fix that. The thing is, it costs you nothing to try. Worst case scenario is that you are in the same situation you were before trying. Best case is that it works. It can't hurt to try in different situations. It may work in some but not others.
